My favorite is Ace it wasn't my highest TGA yielder though. Taste simply the best weed I've ever smelled or tasted, one of the best smells I've ever smelled period, and the high is well balanced.

I dont think jilly bean is the best, it is good but i dont think it is the best. Ace of spades and qurkle both blow it out of the water in taste.

EDIT: if Oranges, and citrus is what you want in your weed , Than jillybean is you Plant, but I dont like those flavors AS much as other TGA gear. Jillybean is the first TGA strain that is getting kicked out of my garden. just not what i was looking for.

if I wanted orange smell/taste than Jilly bean is BADASS, big yeailder, super stinky, wet with resins. It is the best smelling weed after it is burned, like your whole house will smell so good after you burn a bowl or joint.

Someone hasn't smoked my Jillybean yet. :bigjoint:

Fore real though, you guys make it out to LA, I will be holding Jilly, Vortex and Space Dawg. Come to LA, I am sure there will be samples of about every strain TGA has to offer (in some form or another) lots of nerds.

I vote AOS....but got a flav @27 days...exotic....only 2 TGA I have but been truly blessed...the smells are very complicated and resin can be seen in a couple days of 12/12..my flav is the first plant I might run the stems through the bubble bags..

I have found that terpenoid profiles are a bigger deal that I first suspected, hence the widely varying opinions of the nerds.

Does this chart seem to reflect your needs/desires out of cannabis? Sure makes a lot of sense to me.

It does but without a database of terpenes for different strains, not sure how much it helps... other than the lemon, orange and pine shouldn't be hard to find, i've rarely heard strains of cannabis described as having a green tea, lavender or hops smell... pepper sometimes but rarely. Is there a terpene-cannabis mapping database somewhere? Also do labs have terpene tests? :)

I'm smoking some purple la confidential for the last couple days that has a pretty strong piney citrusy skunky scent to it -- it does not really have any of the effects described under the pine scent -- in fact i'd say if anything it's the opposite for most of the effects described... lungs more closed than opened compared to before, it CERTAINLY is not good for memory it's one of those strains that is actually memory confusing, and i have chronic urticaria so anything that's really anti-inflammatory for me helps but i don't really feel like it's helping that at all either... and this stuff is pretty good too (not mine) -- you can tell it was outdoor grown but so far there's very little tolerance factor pretty much hits you the same every time you smoke it all day...

Jillybean .
What he said.

To be fair, as far as TGA is concerned I have only grown out Querkle, Vortex and Jilly Bean. I have grown out 9-10 other strains from other breeders. Due to my small grow space, I can only keep 4 mothers, and Jilly is at the top of my list! I call this pheno Orange Poop. Very dank stuff. Querkle is also on that list, although I wish mine had a stronger grape flavor. Still, it's a really nice Urkle-dominant pheno that turns all sorts of nice colors in flower. Also dank stuff.

Everyone raves about Vortex. I didn't have any luck with mine. First four seeds were all male. One out of the next three was a female, she was healthy and grew well, but she never had much of a smell. Even after it dried and cured for a month, not much smell and next to no taste. And I hated the high, it was a muddy hybrid high that mad me feel kind of down and sad, then an hour or two later I would crash on the couch. I didn't touch it for 6 months then out of curiosity, I opened up a jar. There was a slight Pink Lemonade smell, which became much more pronounced when ground up. Unfortunately, it still tasted like burning leaves and still had a muddy high. Chopped. I don't want to slam Vortex in any way, it was likely just a sub-par pheno and the only female I had.

And that's my point... Sub's gear aren't true-breeding IBLs, there will likely be a variety of pheno's and you will have to find one you like. Likely most of the phenos will be at least good, but some won't be and some could be great. My two Jilly Bean females looked like completely different plants. One had a Sativa structure and an unreal orange zest smell to it during flower... even the juice from the fan leaves smelled intensely orange! The other pheno was much smaller, grew much slower, and was more Indica in stature. She had a very industrial, artificial chemical smell that was really nice and unique in it's own way, it just didn't compare to the other pheno's orange dankness. The high was still very nice and very similar to the Sativa... perhaps even a bit stronger. But I culled her and kept the Orange Poop pheno.

If you don't get a great pheno the first time out, don't get impatient or angry, just try again. It's a numbers game. You're playing a kind of genetic lottery, you can never know EXACTLY what you're going to get with any one seed unless it's femmed.. or is an IBL (even then there is some variation). If you DO get a great pheno, keep it alive as a mother because you may have a hard time finding her again!

Again, Jilly Bean is by far my favorite smoke at this time, by a large margin actually. I'm running the Apollo-13 BX now (closely related to Vortex) and hope to find a killer pheno this time, if not I may go on to try a different lineage of TGA gear.
