pls help newb why is it like this

Nothing's wrong.... some seeds come out crazy for the first week... I have had some come out with 3 sets everywhere instead of symmetrically..... just keep going....
 
Totally normal watch your watering let the medium get somewhat dry before watering, when the medium is drier the plant naturally sends out more roots in search of water more root zone healthier plant, healthier plant healthier crop its all tied together

Hotrod this was the only soil I had at the time. I think it's meant for herbs this was a spur of the moment grow(more of a test run to c if the lighting and temps are good .once I've got it all up to scratch I'll definitely be sourcing the correct soil.the seeds I used are local transkie seeds nothing fancy. I'm growing in a semi stealth grow box for now. Once again tks for the feed back

When you transplant be sure to mix in some inert medium like perlite or vermiculite or horticultural grade pumice - all available at Wally World. Drainage is key to root development and plant growth.
