Shipping Cuttings

Does anyone know the best way to ship cuttings? Im thinking FedEx them in a plastic bag with those plastic flower bottoms with water in them would, in theory work, or plastic bag with wet paper towel to keep them moist for an overnight delivery. Just technically speaking, thoughts?

I have heard wet newspaper in zip lock bag works, never tried though.

I've heard the same, substituting paper towels for newspaper...that newsprint bleeds when it gets wet, not sure if thht would matter

I highly doubt keeping them moist with a paper towel would work... I was actually just trying to figure out a way to ship clones.. I was thinking a little balloon with water and a rubberband not too tight around the stem... overnight for sure though.

A wet papaer towel is more then enought.. ship it over night.

Paper towel is more than enough. Wrap the cutting in a wet paper towel, put that in a ziplock bag or two, and put it all in a padded envelope and ship overnight.

damp paper towel in baggie through regular usps works fine. they'll live for week or 2 as long as they dont freeze.

I have mailed cuttings from washington state to Florida using wet brawny paper towels and ziplock bags. 100% made it through alive. These cuttings had no roots on them although i did dip them in cloning gel to seal the cuts. I made the cuttings extra big and left all the leaves on, wrapped em up put em in ziplock...blew air into it zipped closed put in box.

Rooted cuttings if rooted in rockwool would prob be fine too but id mist the ziplock.

Thats pretty amazing... Im def gonna try it that way. I like the idea of rooting gel. even though I never use it anymore.

1 more real important tip: treat them cuts for bugs before you send em, makes for a much more enjoyable transaction for both parties. yes, even knowing you don't have bugs!

I actually located a thread about this from a few years ago on here and there was a link, but it looked complicated. The wet paper bag post above sounds smart though. in theory of course
