Hydro/drip system for soil?

I am considering installing a drip feed system in my cabinet. I am running pro-mix and all organics. I was thinking of running my AN nutes at 1/4 to 1/2 concentrations ... I assume since I will be using soil there will be less need for nutes than with a true hydro setup. My operation has to be somewhat automated. I work away from home for several days at a time, and the misses isn't being a happy helper in any way. guaranteed she is going to want to help consume the end product though!!! LmaoAnyway ... My plan is to have a basic hydro reservoir with air stone and a pump going to 1/2" main line, and 1/4" spaghetti tubing going from the 1/2" tubing to 0.5 gph regulators mounted on tube steaks and dripping into the pots. I will have to get a 7 day digital timer so that I can water 2 to 3 times a week. It may take some time to figure out how long I need the pump running to supply adequate water to each plant, but I think I can figure this out.Has anybody tried drip systems with soil? on a timer? Automated systems?Anybody with any info PLEASE respond ASAP.Oh and P.S..... I have figured out a way I can remotely see my plants ... My home computer is set up for remote access ... And my wii camera connects by USB. It's actually really cool to be able to see the ladies over the web live. Kinda like watching live streaming xxx shows, except my ladies don't charge!! Anybody want to know how ... Let me know and I can start a thread or something.

With outdoor drip systems you have a bypass valve which allows the pump to run and feed your drip emitters while allowing any excess to be routed back into the system. You can do the same by running the bypass back to the reservoir you will need to do this. Check this out before buying dirt though.https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/546006-world-hempy.html
I was considering running a circular system with my 1/2 inch main line tube, then creating some back pressure to the spaghetti lines by placing a small tube clamp onto the end of the main line but only restricting approximately 50%. I believe this should get the system going pretty good, may need some minor tweaking though. This humpy system looks interesting. From what I get from reading the first 20 or so pages .... It is essentially a DWC hydro setup that is localized to each individual plant. Looks like 2L bottles are the ideal grow container for a direct 12/12 from seed application. However, I want larger plants and plan to veg. For at least 1 month before flowering. 2L bottles couldn't even hold half of the roots from my smallest ladies. I was looking into re-using some 1 gal water bottles(found some in the same shape and style as a 2L) ... But the mouth piece is too large to hold anything in. Maybe some larger river rocks in the bottom could work, then perlite on top of the river rocks. I will have to give it a try on a small sample of 2-4 plants and see how it runs in my setup before fully dedicating my whole garden to this method. I am definitely intrigued.
