Hi, first of all I would like to say hi to everyone as a new forum member, great forum I've followed for a while but only just become a member so hey all.

Secondly to to question in hand, here goes I have 24 plants with poor root growth to previous ones.

24 plants half way through week 4 12/12
iws flood & drain 5 floods 40 mins each flood

5x 600w hps
sms fan controller @ 23
8" out 6"
ec 1.8 full strength as feed chart says from local grow shop
ph 6.0
aqua pots
4" rockwool
canna aqua a-b flores
canadian express wilt gaurd
canadian express regan a root
rizatonic
hygrozyme
canna boost accelarater
budda's tree pk9/18

everything looks fine to be honest, but the root growth isn't the same as previous times, there's healthy white roots, quite a lot dangling but there not matted to the shape of the outer pot like previous times, so could any thing be better maybe??
I was thinking maybe the medium is staying a little to wet? And should I reduce the flood time or take a feed off maybe??
Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm in hydroton and do 4 floods for 5 mins. Also, at your stage I would be running ec 1.4-1.6 and pH 5.8, but thats just me.

No, I used these systems in the past and always floods for a long time to reach all the pots, when set up I timed how long it takes on a flood to reach the desired level in all the pots.

I'll try again with this guy

what is the temperature/

its one of the most important things and you dont know it

that is lazy

is it cold where you live

you posted about slow root growth. what system do you have a flood table or pot sites
I only flood for 45 minutes out of a day you posted that your flooding for 3 and a half hours a day.

so you dont have a problem then

learn how to brew a tea and learn how to apply the tea

learn how to grow great white and apply that
