I use extreme gardens "mykos" and love the stuff. Check out my grow if you'd like. See the heavy d phenols. There was a control without mykos and a few custom amendments and two with.

I'll put my mycrogrow soluble powder from fungiperfect up against both of those "name brands"
Anything but great white dude, people have done spore counts on that stuff and realized it was bullshit. Google around, or buy some of capulator from thcfarmer's stuff on eBay. He really knows his shit.

Myco products are all over the place, be smarter than just buying them from the "mark up store". Ohh I mean hydro store

I have pond zyme as well but it doesn't contain all the beneficial species like the powders do. Pond zyme contains 5 species of bacteria... but i don't know which ones? I suppose that 5 species plus the trichoderma that is in aqua shield would work well but I have been reluctant to get away from EWC completely as I have the brown slime spores just waiting to attack. If i let my guard down.. BAM they are there.

Hellraizer, the cap stuff was good. Not a huge fan of his base material.. i think its DE, as it is really powdery. I also think that at the end of the day, it was a little more expensive than the fungi perfect stuff. I'll have to do a comparison again. However, I really like the fact that he has foliar treatments that will attack bugs. Some people have claimed that his foliar will get rid of spider mites... now THAT would be fucking cool.

In other "cutting edge bioscience shit" I just got a packet of Employ which has the HarpinA bacteria in it. Harpin is used to trigger an auto-immune response in plants that increases plant vigor and yield. It basically tells the plant "your under attack" grow roots and shoots. But in actuality, the HarpinA protein does no damage to the plant. Clinical trials looked pretty damn good really, going to do a side by side with it as soon as my cuttings get more established.

Can't wait to post those results and then have the douche bags come out of the woodwork with all kinds of stupid comments

If you have the slime you must go either bleach (and monitor chlorine levels with a meter) or the beneficial route. In my experience, the EWC tea works wonders, you should see the roots that EXPLODE when you use that stuff. Its pretty damn incredible. The only downside is it is messy.

This is my last run that got nailed with slime. ANd I mean crushed!! they were just about dead and I thought about throwing them out. started the tea and they sat there for about 8 days. on day 10..BOOM! root explosion. That is not some little 3" net pot either, that is an 8" net pot!!
