That Foton light has great spectrum ...

ok ___.jpg

~15% blue
~30 % green
~52% red ....
~3% FR...

At 3000K white light ...

If peak was further to the right towards 640-660 nm ,that would have been ideal ! ( and also ~2400-2600 K )

A more "inflated flat " peak to the red wls .....

Say ...Does it remind something ?
(the light ? )

asl 13 1.jpg

Multichip array 30 -50 Watt ....380-470 nm ...
"Roll " heat sink .....
Circular remote phosphor ...
Reflector (from flashlight ? diffused...Hmmm ..doable ....!!!! )
Driver ....

50 Watt light ,for under 500 $ ?
Can it be done ..?
I wonder ....

^^^ that's a great light source for indoor growing....If that light spec is correct. The price and big bump at 500-600nm is a efficacy issue IMO.

Hello, i have been lurking in this post a while now and decided it was time for some questions now that i see your webshop is up and running. Im very interrested in the panels but im not into MJ growing, in fact i havnt grown anything before really, but im getting ready to start some hydro and/or aquaponics with regular vegetables like tomato, peppers, peas, herbs and lettuce. So now i would like to know if u have any tips on what wavelengths of light or ratios that could be good for a general lightsetup, i wanna DIY a panel later on, but want to start with something that works while i get the hang on the growing part first (:

I could probably have made this a PM to u directly startdust, but im throwing out a bone here since ive seen quite alot of ppl with good understanding in LED tech, and i might get answers from more ppl, hope u apologize for this hijack, and ill remove this post if u think im in the wrong place here.

There's not such an issue as " hijacking" ..
Now as for the spectrum...

Many plants thrive under different ratios ...
But an "all around ratio would be something like :

400-499 nm : 8-15% of total flux..
500-599 nm : 25-30% (leaning towards yellow )
600-699 nm : 45-60% ( peak as flat as possible from 600 to 640-650 nm )
700-750 nm : 2-5 %

Stardust, those numbers seem to fit your "full cycle" panels, am i right? cuz thats the one ive been looking at so far, i dont have any indepth knowledge about led's ive just read some threads and not understood 99% of the texts, you and knna are way over my league.

I have seen quite alot of successful grows with led's on other sites, but most have been with red+blue leds and mostly the costly penetrator panels, wich are way to overpriced in my opinion.

As far as DIY i have looked at http://www.aquastyleonline.com but since they are mainly focused on the aquatic field i dont know if their CW, NW and WW leds have focus on other wl than the ones u use, their pink led look kinda sweet aswell if only it were a little more focused to red.

First day of 11th week at flowering ....
She keeps producing new white pistils ..
What should I do ....???
I wanna have a new grow testing a new led config ....
(So I've to solder new leds ..)
Carbon from scrubber needs replacing ....
Seeds soaked in water ,sitting on fridge ,are awaiting ...
....
Time is pressing me ,while she has taken her time , maturing ....
Different perception of time ...
(...But I'm the one ,holding the knife ....)

Cut nutes 100-< 200 ppm

If hydro, cut the frequency of feedings

Move panels farther away

Cut light hours in ~ 20 minute increments

Cut nutes

I've done that two weeks ago ....

I 've used ,also, Tween 20 ,to wash away ,nutes from substrate ....
So...
The "gas tank " is empty ..

.....
Still, she goes ....

DON'T CUT IT SAILOR !!! Let it hit one more week atleast:weed:

She's
still have alot of white pistils as i see with zoom ,she's also have a nice leaf ratio till now...

Dunno
if that correct but those "unknown" genetics seeds that we found sometimes are very barbarian !! so they need patience and they will reward you in the end, believe me

What do the trichs look like on the lady??....I agree with your timetable SDS, I would keep flushing to remove the salts from the chem ferts. Adding ferts at this late stage doesn't increase yield and could "possibly" ruin the flavor/burn===not worth it

Let me search for one minute cause i dont remember Kelvins exactly...

....searching in progress....

*Here we go:

10WarmWhites 3300K

4CoolWhites 5500-6000K

4PureWhites 6500-7000K

5Reds625nm

1UltraViolet42
nm

(both panels have the same spectrum)

- (4 x CW _*pure Whites ) => + (4 x WW ) => Less Quality ,more Quantity ?
- (4 x CW _*pure Whites)=> +(2xWW ) +(2x NW _*Cool whites ) => A bit less quality ,a tad more quantity ?
