Hundreds a week? Yeah right. You get what you pay for. 10/10/10 for grow is not close to optimal for pot and you don't have to use AN to get far better. H&G work well - the Dutch know their stuff.

I agree. Those nutes suck. There's a whole lot more to feeding your plants than npk. Not all nutes are created equal, and fact is most are incomplete plant feeds.

We're growing a plant worth hundreds for just an ounce, and you can't spend $20 on decent nutes?

what looks shady ? The fact that I am trying to save him money by telling him about a quality nutrient company that was created in Northern California? If you want to talk about shady, look no further than Advanced Nutrients.

Cutting Edge is the best when it comes to price and bang for the dollar .. This company has only begun to shine as well , give them time and they will be much bigger than now with the way there labs work .

I havn't heard of Cutting edge may be great. Advanced nutes seem to work good lots of people use them. I've seen way to many grows spend much less on nutes and look just as good. I've never ran Advance, so I can't speak from experiance there. I've been running GH flora series for about a year using the lucas formula, and they have workked well. I changed out fox farms grow big hydro with the solubles in flower for the GH stuff, and saw little to no differance. I think many many of the nutes are similar things in differant bottles. I've got a friend that swears by several addatives that he uses, and a complicated mix of things. He has good harvests too, I don't know what to say the key is giving them what they want and the right enviroment, not what label is on the bottle.

About 3 years ago I got some 1 liter samples of a nutrient called Envy. I had enough to run one harvest. It was a simple 2 part nute, you mixed equal parts of both, and thats it. I loved that nute. My plants were so happy, and that harvest was the best smelling and tasting harvest I've ever had. Sadly I havn't been able to find those nutes any where but the internet since then. I'm going to try to get my hydro store to order me some. They are also pretty reasonably priced $43 gets you a gallon of each. I'm paying about $35 a gallon for each of the GH micro and bloom, so almost half the price. It is a chemical nute from what I can tell from reading about it, but it is a salt free nute aswell.

Heres a link to an online source I found that carries it. http://www.texashydroponics.com/shop/product.php?productid=2204

I loved the stuff I can't speak more highly of it.

That's swell and all but when you have say 8-16 lights AN's prices end up costing you like 3000.00 a crop.

I'll stick with cutting edge. Its a great nutrient for a great price IMO.

Again - one light or 16 - you get what you pay for if you're lucky. Not saying Cutting Edge isn't good. Just saying AN products work damned well and so H&G and a few others. But for ease of mixing with their standard "2 ML/Liter" it doesn't get much easier for the new or technically challenged. Then making your 1/4 strength starting nutrients is easier.

You can take the additude that you get what you pay for, but if you are getting a great crop already, then how much differance can it make to spend twice as much money. I think the getting what you pay for only goes so far. Buy something quality, and it doens't matter what label is on the bottle.

So it has to be the most expensive & most marketed product on the market or else you didn't get what you paid for ? Advanced just wants your money bro, thats why they split everything up into individual bottles.. Any company that strategizes ways to get as much money from you as possible ill stay far away from. (I should know I've used them) Cutting Edge is great company, they don't try to rape you either like AN does. Tested and perfected in Northern Cali and if you don't know how to mix nutrients or when to use different ratios , Cutting Edge also makes a mixing chart

I have never used HG but I can tell you AN is good shit and you can't beat PH perfect technology. Peep our Grow we will show you how bad ass AN can be.
