Am i totally fuccccckked?????

Hi im using iws system with strictly coco pebbles. I think i may have over fed the babies and flooded the rockwoll, its been 2 weeks tomorow and the roots have not come out of the iws netted pot. Am i right in thinking its over watering and how should i recover from this? Will the roots keep on growing

Roots grow slow at first. How old are the plants? I transplant 6"-1' plants in to 4" rockwool cubes. Sometimes the plants are bigger and it takes a couple weeks for roots to take off. You can use a root stimulator like rapid root from general hydro or.. ugh I can't remember house and garden version of rebid rooter.. but they are both the same thing and same doses in the end. Only difference is H&g one has stuff in it that doesn't need air and the Rapid Root does need an air stone or something. However using Rapid Root without air will kill off the ones that need air and produce ones that don't so in my opinion they are the same. Could also use rootamentary from Beneficial Biologics but it messes with my hydro ph.

If your plants drowned they would be dead looking. If they're not keep rockwool damp and you're good. The rockwool will drain on it's own right away and retain the right amount of moisture to not worry about drowning.

Hi bro thanks for that, they are in 4 inch rockwolls. The cuttings in my other grow room have rooted out of the pots within the first week but the other room which got overfed the roots have barely even come out of the 4 inch rockwoll????? Should i jus start again??? Or will the plants be okay? They are all noce and green and even sprouting very slowly however the leaves are quite thin and some are even clawing? Whats your best advice for me??

I wouldn't start over, these plants are amazingly resilient and can bounce back form some pretty hard knocks. Give them a little time and water only when the rockwool feels light and you will see them come back to the game.

Peace and Great Grows

I agree with smallvoic. Sounds like roots died so they will work on root growth to support their current body mass, then grow more roots for more body mass then the foliage will take off. It should have minimal if not no effects on yield since so early. Just take a bit longer because of the repairing process. If you really did drown them I am surprised they are good still haha. But since they are not drooped and crispy they are good.

I used to take cloning trays, but 8 4" cubes in it, water it until an inch was covered without an air stone and let them veg for a month like that. ;)
