5x refined butane can be found on amazon in cases quite easily or at your local fine tobacco retailer. Sometimes 4x is all you can find which is just fine in my opinion...I've smoked bowls of weed for too many years using 25 cent lighters made in china. God only knows how many impurities are in the butane coming out of those fucking things.
NEVER EVER use pvc to blast 'tane through. Butane is an extremely powerful solvent and can cause chemicals from the pcv to leech into your BHO. Very serious shit you do not want to get into your lungs. Bed bath and beyond has a metal turkey baster with a metal flavor injector point on the end. You remove the plastic squeeze top and stuff that bitch full of DRY weed....not too tightly though as you don't want hard pockets to form and resist the flow of butane....it is a waste of weed then. Anyhow, once you stuff that turkey baster full, you pop a coffee filter on the end (brown is best) and clamp it with a hose clamp from autozone or zip tie....whatever floats your boat. I like a hose clamp though b/c I've had the end pop off before under pressure and it blew up in my face....weed was allover my whole upper body, ceiling, and walls of the room I was in. No good my friend....
But you stick the tip of your butane bottle into the metal tip of the turkey baster and blast your 'tane through it which will leech out a greenish honey looking color out the bottom and into a glass or pyrex baking dish. You can then let the 'tane evaporate naturally over a couple days and then scrape it up or you can rapidly evaporate by placing the glass dish into a larger glass dish of warm water and the 'tane will evaporate rapidly. Butane boils at light 80 degrees or some shit so you'll see all the 'tane boil off and you're left with BHO....still has to be purged (do a youtube search) to be finished if you rapid boil off the 'tane but that's all there is to it.

yeah, it does burn if you got it too hot. I promise I have cranked it to 415 and she was on fire after she got really dry. I admit I was attempting to get it to burn by cranking it up.

I just meant if you're vaping there's no combustion by definition. I have a Magic Flight Launch Box and if I'm using the AC adapter, I can easily heat it to combustion.
I like the Pax because I have three temp settings, and the weed is in a little oven. So no combustion possible with that particular vape.

For bho, I'm going to get the portable pen vape the Omicron 2.0 / it must be the best device out there for ease of use and will hold more than .5 grams of oil. the company removed the auto shut off that was in 1.0 / buddy told me to get 2.4 ohm cartridges.
currently a water bong, w 'health stone' porous glass insert bowl and special turbo four burner vector lighter makes for a real smooth experience for home use. the taste is preserved as well.

just turned on volcano. I like a light temp (335) and run the bowl into about two consecutive turkey bags and dispose. it does all depend on humidity of herb and coarseness of material. also too much of a cake of ground herb will slow the heat down and burn material prematurely. a lot of subtle variables.
