I just saw that marijuana was legalized in Seattle and now i plan to move there. I would like to study at UWASH LAW and i have the marks. Anyway, how do you buy marijuana in seattle? Have the medical shops opened their doors? There is very little information on this online. I wont have the means to smoke my own for some time and i dont want to buy from street dealers :kiss-ass:

They're still working it out. On December 6th it will be legal to possess cannabis. Courts are already dismissing small possession charges even though the law doesn't go into effect until December. You will probably see cannabis for sale in about a year.

I already go to law school. I can see how it could take a while to set it up, but a year is excessive. Also, i'm surprised no one simply takes it on themselves to make marijuana available especially with medical shops already in place. I know when medical marijuana was legalized it didnt take long to open the first shop.

i live in NYC on 24k a year right now just fine. The student dorm is only $1,000 a month and its right in downtown Manhattan. That leaves me with $1,000 a month. I will start growing once im in Seattle, but i am going to be in need for a few months :/ I dont like to move with weed and got rid of my stash when i went to school. Not worth risking a UPM in law school

How is a year excessive? You are trying to compare Medical Marijuana vs. Legalization/Decriminalization. MMJ will stay serving patients and will stay under med laws. Come December, anyone over 21 can have up to an ounce. The state has to take the time to authorize growers, distributors, stores. Set up shop so to speak... Shit just takes time but sayin you cant find much on the internet AND you are in law scool??? Try doin some more research.... But yeah, you're lookin at about a year before any stores open.

Walk around downtown Seattle until you see the first clean dread-headed hipster wearing a Bob Marley shirt and say "bumbaclot war dem tree be bumbaclot". I hear that's the codespeak nowadays.

I think the biggest problem is gonna be the 1st person to open up a store may be under the gun from the feds.

WHo knows.
