jk man, yeah if theres still white hairs popping out i would wait, fuck trich color i think that is one of the most hyped up garbage methods of telling a plant is ready. not saying it inacurate just saying its dumb.....
let me break it down into a simple theory i have.....
Buds are made of hundreds of things called Calyx's, each calyx produces at least 1 pitilate (white hair) the job of this pistilate is to catch pollen, receed into the calyx and begin the plants reproduction process (making a seed).
if the pistilate does not get pollinated eventually it withers up and dies (red hairs, dead hairs) when new calyx's are produced new pistilates are produced, this means that the plant is still producing buds, the plant will ALWAYS produce new calyx's untill it dies but if your a good judge and have some common sense you will be able to tell when the plant is pretty much "all done" by looking at the amount of pistilates on the flowers, if there is a bunch of them covering the flower then its still growing, if there are just a few then that means bud production is stopping and its time to harvest.
BTW red hair to white hair ratio dosent mean shit either because red hairs are just dead pistalates and once they die they stay there so eventaully they are going to outnumber the white hairs.

Yeah she still is throwing out some white hair, but I'm in a foking pickle and it's kinda a big pickle lol.
I might have to leave for about 13 days so I wont be able to take care of the plant, my wife she's fine with taking care of the young ones but she said no to the HiJack so don't know if I should just let her grow for my time of absence or should I cut her down? So shit don't really know what to do..
My wife have no time for the grow so she will hardly have time to water the plants, if not I'll just pull her rite before I leave, I might be leaving tomorrow or tue, and I'll be gone for about 13 days.

So I'll be leaving soon for about 13 days, my wife she's willing to take care of the plants while I'm gone.
HiJack will be coming down on the sat. so I'll have some pictures by then, if I'm not back by sat. my wife will cut her down and manicure her to her best abilities She should do just fine.

mighht be better off just waiting not like the plant is going to shrivel up and die if its not chopped down on a particular date and thats alot of trimming for someone who has not done it before and with the kids and such around might be better if you do it when your home and have her help out maybe to show her what to do..

How's every body doing this fine morning?
So my wife pulled the hijack on thur. afternoon just three days shy from 70 days, majority of the hair turned golden brown and start to curl into the buds..so she chopped it lol, she also looked at the trichomes which she said were all milky and like 30% of amber.
She trimmed the plant rite after chopping it saving the trim for later use, I think she did a pretty good job, she also got this drying box going lol I just love my wife it's a regular cardboard box with some strings in it, with a intake hole on on the bottom and and exhaust port on the top, the exhaust has a small pc fan installed so it's drawing the air form the bottom, just like a grow box, she also got a small pc fan inside the box (not blowing on the buds) and shoe box filled with a bit of rice ride under hanging buds to wick the moisture away and so far shit looks good even better then on my first try.
So today morning she transfferd the buds into the jars for some curing time They were drying since thur. afternoon in a bit low humidity (30%RH) but she said the stems were snapping but not breking in two and the outside of the bud was dry and a bit crispy but with some moisture inside the bud.
So here are some pictures that my wife took rite after the chopping and trimming the plant down
And here are some pictures of the buds after drying and going into the jars

Good job on the box too, u might wanna get those hanging up to dry for another day or two after bein in the jars for a day, coz theres always more moisture in the stems that seeps out...u dont want that wet hay smell

Shit it's good to be home...
So anyways, I came home today in the afternoon no one was there so first thing I did was smoke on some HiJack and let me tell you this, I GOT HIGH OF MY ASS!!
Strain: Hijack from Autoseeds
Growth: It grows well a little on the stretchy side but not bad for a dominant sativa strain though
Nutes: Fox Farm Big Bloom/Tiger Bloom
Yield: 80g dryed and cured for a bit.
Bag Appeal: Excellent a 7 in my book so many crystals it looks sopping wet.
Smell: Also a 10 a spicy fruity skunk smell very unique, the smell is totally something else it's very funky.
Taste: It tastes as good as it smells very bold flavore.
The High: very uplifting high makes you want to tare in to a project right after a bowl of lucky charms. Probably one the best sativa high I have ever smoked.
Comments: I have smoked alot of weed over the course of past 16 years and I have to say that this smoke is one of the most unique high I have ever had.
I'll have some pictures tomorrow of some nicely trimmed buds I'm so proud of my wife lol, and also will have some pictures up of fruit auto and original amensia auto.
We had some issues with the fruit it hit the N wall so I had to add some N with today's watering so will see how that helps, should be fine.
As for the amnesia auto she's ready to flower shooting white pistils all over the place lol, no issues with her so far.
I'll have some pictures of both of them tomorrow.

I just wanted to thank everyone for taking this journey with me again, for all your help. Some of your advice has got me through some tough situations and helped me with alot stupid questions that I was just curious about. I'm glad that when i need to know something there's people I could ask that will take the time to answer my questions. Even if sometimes I get some immature answers mixed in it just puts a little humor in my day. So thanks again guys for all your help and taking the time to answer my questions.
But this party ain't over yet I still got two plants in the box and there's gonna be some more plants in there after that, so this is just the beginning

so thats just over 3 Oz, niiiiiiiiiice i have no idea what im gonna pull in dry weight.......but it better be worth like 3 months of growin lol its amzing how quick ur hijack grew to maturity. Yeah Low this plant grew fast and a lot in short period of time, and high is out of this world..not a night time smoke that's for sure.
Low I think I'll just leave it as it is, no need to start a new thread so I'll be carrying on with this thread threw the grow of fruit and amnesia.
When I start my photos next after this grow then I think I'll start a new thread.

And some pictures of Fruit and Amnesia, Fruit is exactly 4 weeks since the plant broke the ground, and amnesia is 18 days old since she broke the ground 
Like I said before I hit the N wall again with the fruit, it happened with the hijack but late in the grow, I think I must be doing something wrong have to tweak my shit so it wont happen on my next grow or even to amnesia lol.
