A small list of FOX lies and methods of distortions - for BeenThere.

Frankly, the only lies I can think of that were reported as news have come from the liberal media. In my experience, Fox news does a pretty good job of accurately reporting the news.

Now, of course, every news organization makes mistakes and I am willing to forgive those but the egregious examples of politically motivated blatant lying come almost entirely from the left.

If you don't like conservative opinion, then don't listen to O'Reilly and Hannity, etc. Likewise, if you don't like liberal opinion, don't listen to Ed Schultz.

Ratings numbers clearly show, by a huge margin, that Americans prefer conservative opinion shows like O'Reilly, etc. Tough shit, get over it.

Is this where I'm suppose to come back with an immature insult mr2shim?
If you were an honest person you would have #1 stayed out of this argument or #2 admitted canndo is spinning his ass into the ground. BTW, you are correct, I'm not 50!
i doubt you're even 15 years old.

Those arent all opinion shows that he cited.

I don't see how "Breaking NEWS" is supposed to be opinion, when they actually use the fucking word NEWS. Britt Humes show is supposedly a news show. I'm not gonna continue, if you read what he cited thou you'd know it was hardly all from opinion shows.
You just can't stand the fact the right has Fox to slant their news, like the left has had the MSM for decades!
Got any cheese with that whine?

All of the stuff you quoted is from Fox editorial shows, i.e. opinion shows. Opinion pieces are not news, they are... opinion pieces.

Do you know what news is, Canndo?

Are all of you liberals really this dumb, or dishonest? Do you see conservatives quoting Ed Schultz and crying about how biased MSNBC news is?

There is a fine waltz going on here. Yes, most of these extracts are from opinion shows. However, when there are statements of fact, or accepted presumptions of fact embeded within the opinion, they easily constitute lies. If an opinion show has the speaker not claiming that something is his opinion but that his opinion is based upon what he holds to be a "fact", then the lie is even more pronounced.

FOX gets away with the sorts of lies it does because the misstatements and distortions are hidden within the opinion piece.

If you followed the other thread, I stated (without cutting and pasting), that Fox had lost its status as a news organization. I was asked to prove it, now how exactly might I do so without cutting and pasting? I don't think that referencing particular points of lie or distortion is... parroting the same old shit.
You're status? And what is the bastion of truth for you?

you've never grown a plant in your life, you don't own a business, you don't pay taxes, you're probably not even old enough to pay taxes.

you're just a piece of shit that bothers people here.

OK, let's take a random example from Canndo's post;

"March 14: On The Fox Report anchor Shepard Smith reports that Saddam is planning to use flood water
as a weapon by blowing up dams and causing severe flood damage.
March 24: Oliver North reports that the staff at the French embassy in Baghdad are destroying
documents"

Is this "news" ever refuted? Was Saddam planning to use flood waters? Were the French destroying documents? How are the items that Canndo quoted evidence of anything? Canndo seems to think that all he has to do is post last night's weather report, as reported by Fox, and that is evidence of lying.

Show me an example where Fox outright lied when reporting the news, you know, something like what ABC did when they doctored the Zimmerman injury videos, or what NBC did when they edited Zimmerman's 911 tape to make him out to be racist, or what Dan Rather did when he did his hit piece on George Bush's national guard records.

I am not saying that Fox has never done such things, I am just saying that I can't think of any.

Desert Dude you make the mistake of equating popularity with truth telling. Glen Beck is very popular, that does not indicate that he is very truthful.

I take issue with your assertion that the majorty of lies come from the left when I just posted a huge list by no means complete of the right having lied.

Now I posted 5 studies indicating that Fox exclusive viewers are more misinformed than any other viewer of any other news channel.

Say what you wish about the rest - but this is an indicator that FOX misrepresents the news more than other "news" outlets.

If FOX viewers are uninformed then it stands to reason that FOX is misinforming them.

Everything said on an opinion show is opinion. That is the definition of an opinion show. Have you ever watched an episode of Ed Schultz, or shudder, Laurence O'Donnell?

Move those goalposts again you sack of shit.

Just using the term MSM shows how much of a partisan hack you are at the core. Sadly, you're not even moderately good at it.

I never whined, I stated fact. You cannot accept (not except you fucking dolt) fact that contradicts your partisan fantasy world. STFU and get to work, there are people that want Bigmacs.
