I have been using the aerogarden for about 8 months now, experimenting with different nutrients and light situations. My plant was doing great, then it def. caught a disease and died. My new plant seems to be doing well, I experimented with Hesi Hygro Grow nutrients. Is this the right type of nutrients I should be using? I question this because the leaves are strong but not a strong green color, more of a light green color. Ive calculated the right amount of hesi nutrients, along with using the aerogarden growth tablets---every 2 weeks. I would like to know other aerogarden users' techniques that have been successful. Appreciate the input, will add pics soon. Also, i want to order seeds online, but am a bit afraid too. what website do u guys recommend?

Hey one last thing. I got everything you told me to get.. extra lights etc. But for the closet job what do you do about the head thats created?

Sounds like your CFL's re shot .. They are useless after 6 months of use ,, I would replace the ones in the hood and start out with fresh ones .. they dont last forever ... Good luck

a small fan will do just fine .. I have mine set up at a friends house , In a closet and i have the deluxe hood (3 lights) and 12 cfl's and Ive had no problems

Good morning once again to everyone out there!...
Everything is going good over here...
About to change the rez out for its final 2 weeks of straight tap water....
2 weeks left.... I can't wait...the one on the right could probobly be chopped now but I'll just wait it out...
I think I'll get 14 grams from the one on the right and 7 from the little one on the left...
Not much but cool with me...it may be more...
not much is changing I guess the buds might be getting a little bigger but its hard to tell...
I hope they still grow over the next two weeks, I assume they will...

wow thats awesome... i hope i can yield nearly as great results as you. I'm suprised though that it is only going to be a total of 21 grams.

1. Did you have an issue with the smell? what did you do about it?
2. I got 5 CFL's in with a total of 800 watt equiv.... however now they seem to be growing more towards the lights that i installed than the actual aero lights... should i just make all the lights equidistent so it all evens out or is it ok that the plants seem to be growing towards the lights?

also another question... one of my plants is completely tipped over and cannot support itself... while the other is strong and supports itself. What should i do? It seems as if it grew too tall too fast

Tek, That's a beautiful plant you got there. May I recommend leaving it at 12/12 and letting it mature on its own. I just screwed up my own aerogarden grow (with a different strain) by turning up the dark to mature it too early (about where yours looks to be). It was continuing to sprout new growth and I tried to go back to 12/12 and started messing with PH and killed it, but I think you can harvest it gradually at 12/12 if you just let it mature on its own and continue to grow new buds at the same time. Should net you more grams, at least. Just a recommendation.
