so should have equal rights amendment and civil rights act, he's also mentioned lately he wants to make an executive order to insure equal pay for women. Pander much?
the first thing he did was sign that act.

not a pander.

Love tax breaks, no matter where they come from, I've only voted dem or other for prez, never pub so there goes that argument. And your answer should have been money is fungible if you want to argue it's a tax break and not a social security loan.

Come on Buck, I was hoping for an intelligent explanation why doing it through SSI is better than through regular income taxes, or the same, or something.
so you don't want to talk about the making work pay tax credits or other tax credits in the ARRA? those are what i was referring to, actually. although good job pointing out that obama also lowered the payroll tax deduction. let's not forget the obama tax cuts, which some people still insist on calling the bush tax cuts for some odd reason. obama owns those tax cuts now.

so what has obama done to address the primary concern of the 99%'ers (money as speech, corporations in politics, etc...)?

seems to me he has only done the opposite, in fact continued to support this, appointing people like Tim Geitner etc...It seems obama would be one of the primary opponents of the 99%'ers actually.

yes, the first act he signed he broke his word that we'd be able to read all bills for 5 days online before he signed them. His first act was a lie, look a republican has more money than you!! get it!

the pandering I'm talking about is 4 years later he's saying he's fighting for women's rights for equal pay yet he doesn't even live by it on his own staff.

love tax breaks, all tax breaks. If we have to pay them back it's not a break, it's a loan. A loan that our companies also received but since a company doesn't receive SSI benefits I doubt seriously their contribution deduction will be paid back by them.

Now granted, if SSI is dismantled and no longer exists then it's a fucking A great tax break. I'm torn because I'm not really rooting for that but understand that's our future because the system is going broke. At a faster rate now too, didn't he promise to fix SSI? maybe not, he's made too many false promises to keep up at this point.

It's because they're a bunch of whiny, whacked out fucktards.
maybe misguided and definitely whiny but I'm stoked so many people are getting involved instead of yelling at clouds. Besides, how can you not feel for someone in this poor girls shoes?

so much butthurt.
oh I'm sorry if I gave the impression I'm hurt, actually the tone in my head typing these posts isn't angry. Think patient kindergarten teacher trying to explain something to her children.

Must be tough blindly defending someone because nobody is perfect and the standards you hold the man to are unfair.

You see Mr Smith, I see right through you, even though you have only managed to utter a few short sentences using your most primal instincts.

It is important to understand the realities of ideologies. State Capitalism, Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Democracy; These are all livestock management approaches. They all fail eventually because treating Humans as cattle is simply immoral and irrational.
These ideologies are NOT based on a philosophy, nor does it originate from historical evidence or rational principles, is a false justication for human ownership, an exscuse for violence.
You are one of those cows Mr Smith, one of those cows on the payroll who will do whatever you can to defend your masters. It is you Mr Smith who I am trying to save.

“The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inert, so hopelessly dependent on the system that they will fight to protect it.”

I'm worried about social securities future. I would appreciate a tax break but an SSI contribution deduction is a loan not a break. A loan with over 100% interest attached to it because the corps also got that break and I doubt seriously they help pay it back. Why did it come for SSI instead of the regular tax rolls?

Has my logic lost anyone because I know I'm not explaining this as well as could be?
Did you take that pic in your av? It gets me to look every single time.

If he owns those tax cuts NOW, he owns the shitty economy then too. Seems fair to me.

Obama's economic mess. Yep, sounds right.
