Not over 50 but 33. I started growing when I was in 9th grade. I've always loved to grow stuff. I loved science and biology. Got my BS in environmental science and Horticultural. I remember the first cannabis plant I grew. I smoked some great weed that just made me feel good and smile and laugh. I found some seeds I think it was only 6 of them out of the six 2 sprouted and grew. And I went from there. I grew them on the roof of my house. in my room I had a door the lead to a flat deck that was part of the room I was pretty much the only one who ever went there. Till my dad went on there one day and found my plants got pissed and tossed them over the roof. I walk down about 2 hours after that and picked them up put them in a tree house that no one used anymore. They made a great comeback. after about 5 months I had a harvest had no clue what I was doing no idea how to dry and cure. so for the next few months me and my pals smoked some shit that hurt your lungs and made you cough. Had no Idea how to cure. but it did the job. Love you all.

Newbie chiming in from the Green Mountain state of Vermont USA ! Just over half way to the finish--- 52 years old and just getting a new start on trying my hand at being a green thumb. About 4 months ago i got sick of taking medication in order to sleep at night. Tried some of todays weed and BANG! Slept through the night. I remember the 1970,s and the crap that i would occasionally smoke. Burnt my throat, made me friggin paranoid and stopped after a couple of weeks. Decades later here i am. I have a plant from donated seeds. Only one decided to grow. Its about 1 foot tall ,maybe 12 leaves. Outside grow in a 2 gallon pot. 2 dead fish covered with about 1 inch of soil. Placed those in the 2 gallon pot hen i transplanted the plant about 4 days ago. Now let see what happens! Not much of my body involves having a green thumb! Ive seen a couple of Vermonters onboard so mabe over time i can learn a bit! Thanks for the site and any info provided!

I smoked a little in the 70's, but never really got into it.
Now that I have kids in their 20's, I've gotten re-acquainted with this wonderful plant. It helps me with health issues and helped me to cut way down on pharmaceuticals and alcohol.
And growing it, that's the best part of all. It has given me a new lease on life!
