I'm loving the setup Lady J. I'm a new grower and just like you I'm in an apartment. How exactly did you set up the grow room though? Living in an apartment doesn't give much room to operate with and this is probably the best set up I've seen online. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks:lol:

Thanks for the love yrral...

All I did was clean out the closet and disinfect the walls / floor, line the walls with Mylar, put some tarp on the floor, and fashion a make-shift door out of duct tape and trash bags. Then I lined the door with mylar on the inside, and cut out a 6inch circle for exhaust (hooked up a 6in inline fan). My lighting is suspended by a hook that I screwed into one of the shelves (also wrapped in mylar). That's pretty much it!

Pics every 40 or so posts huh? (I've got it set to 40 posts per page, less page flipping.)
Lol jk Lady.J.

I really, really, hope your man realizes what an awesome chick he has found!!
you smoke, grow, drink(good taste in brews too!), have a great sense of humor, great music, snappy with the comebacks, and dammit all if youre not hot to boot.

So you liked the skample? (skunk sample).

Lol I get so caught up in the conversation and learning...seems like the growing is secondary

I will start posting more pics and run my mouth less :p

That's really nice of you to say, put a big smile on my face :). My man knows he's lucky...so I guess that makes me lucky too!

The sample was awesome. And I even used a horrible way to dry it...10 seconds in the microwave at 50% power. Took about 6-8 times but I guess it wasn't so bad because I was floatin'.

People say that quick drying ruins the taste because the plant holds on to chlorphyll (sp) for 2 weeks? But it just tells you how horrible the trees I've been smokin' are because the taste didn't bother me at all.

As for the buds...barely touched them and my fingers were sticking to each other. Has a great dank, musty smell with a hint of rotten fruit lol. Can't wait to see how the finished product turns out.

Took some more pics today.

My plants are going through some thangs right now...

Pretty sure the Sour Kush has a magnesium deficiency. Noticed subtle signs a couple days ago so she's already been watered with epsom. It also looks like she's trying to turn purple on a leaf or two? Maybe I am mistaken and it's a deficiency. Anyway, I've been combating yellow leaves and pruning the Skunk #1 of anything completely drained of green. I don't know if skunk has a tendency to lose many leaves in flowering...or if it's because of something I did / didn't do, but the buds look great nonetheless and it's my first time so not going to beat myself up about it.

Sour Kush on the left, Skunk #1 on the right

The seedlings are still doing well after the transplant. It seems like only the Blueberry was stressed by it...but she's been growing so I expect she'll recover.

I'm thinking about putting a Delicious Northern Lights Blue into some rockwool in anticipation of my tent arriving. Going to 12/12 from see under MH along with some gs13 Pineapple Express on the 11th. Will switch to HPS when they show their first flowers.

Looking good, girl. I like how you're always right on top of things. I guess all that research is paying off! Those buds look yummy too. I'm still excited to see how that Blueberry turns out and I'm super excited to see what you can do with a tent and a mh/hps setup. I hope my first grow goes half as well as yours has!

Just noticed that both plants were sharing the same container..

So you feed them both the same?

Roots can also be competing with each other for nutrients..

Yes, I feed them both the same.

To be honest, I have probably under ferted them as well because I've been very paranoid about nute burn. Before attempting to grow, I checked out tons of threads...and it seemed like the number 1 killer of a novice's crop was nute burn so a big impression was made on me to watch out for it. Greatly underestimated how much I should be feeding!

I admit that being in the same pot isn't ideal. My prior intention was to scrog the plants for the entire duration in a sterilite bin. Since I know vegetables can grow well in a flower pot, I figured I would try MJ in one and allow for more root space while saving height.

Of course I didn't know as much then as I know now or I probably would have done things a little differently...but next time I will be using the flower pot for one plant, planted at one end, and then trained to reach out to the other end through LST.

Nice update Lady.. you sure do have a lot going on for a "small grow op" lol ;)
True :-P....but I smoke ALOT. I've been known to smoke 4-5 grams a day for months at a time. Want to have a good supply for when I have those months where I need daily medication lol.

Thanks for your support Kronika! Am praying things go well for the Blueberry too! Is the strain I'm most excited about so far. I'm sure your grow will go just as well, if not, better! By the way, do you have any pics??

I wasnt worried so much about under ferting them, just that each strain is gonna have different feeding requirements. So what may keep one happy, might not do the same for the other.

Just something I thought I would point out to you :)

Not trying to knock your style or your methods :)

No, sadly I don't.

I have all the equipment and even the beans, but I'm running in and out of town so much to care for my ailing mother that I haven't even bothered with starting the grow yet. And since I don't have anyone I can trust to look after them when I'm gone for days at a time, the plants would probably just die from neglect.

No worries Bill...I know sharing a pot isn't good for lots of reasons, and I know you're right about them having different feeding needs too...wish I would have known better before planting!

Ah I see...well I'm sorry to hear about your mother, have been in that position before...know it can be very tough. Hope everything works out ok.

You said you were going to use CFLs right? And what beans did you pick up?

Spliff FTW!

My Lemon Haze 12/12 is having a serious issue. Sucks
All the leaves have little burn marks all over them. Not just on the tips or anything. She's almost 2 weeks into flower but progressing very slowly
