jiffy pellet to soil

how do you transfer a jiffy pellet to soil? i have had a skunk strain germinating in a jiffy pellet and it has roots and almost growing out of the pellet so that means it's ready to be in reg. soil well i was going to either put it in a sup or a pot. what do you all think? and also the leafs are growing good i'm growing inside too

i also heard that you should take the net off the pellets too before you plant it into soil i was going to do that

leave the net.. The roots will grow right thru it.. And where ever you heard or read to take net off.. You might not want to follow any more of their advice.. lol

Yeah..no reason to remove the nets...people think the nets will constrict the roots somehow...but really roots crack concrete so they can make it through some nylon netting I am sure.

Yes cwait til you see roots coming out... Get you a bag of perilite and use to set pucks in so ypu wont have light hitting roots when they do pop thru

Rip the net off the pellet before you transplant so the roots can spread our faster.

yes tree roots the size of 2-liters can crack concrete. Not baby little tap roots.

If you can take it off without damaging the roots i say go for it

the net is not there for the plant it is to keep the peat from crumbling away when wet.

i use jiffy pellets for clones they work great hold water for like a month. when the roots come through the sides i just plant in soil. i wouldnt remove the netting. good luck

Exactly, if you don't transplant til you see the roots coming out? Then how do you remove net with out damaging roots.. If those baby root and get thru, they,re only going to get bigger and stronger so they'll have no problems getting thru a flimsy piece of net..
