Hi everyone, im pretty new to this website and i like it so far :)
Anyways, im 18 and i was just wondering how do you get a mmj card in Arizona, i heard it was harder then California.
Do my illnesses qualify for a medical card, Acid Reflux, Mild insomnia, and stuttering.
I know these conditions might not be serious but it has been really ruining my life, i have tried marijuana before in the past and it has helped me sleeped very well, for the acid reflux it justs calms down my stomach and numbs my esophogous. In all it justs calm me down and helps me a ton, would they qualify? Thank you for your time

Thanks man! Although it doesnt list my conditions on the list :(
None of those conditions are valid. depending on what happens in may with the hearing on new conditions you may qualify. they are trying to add PTSD, GAD, Depression, and one other thing. I have GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and it interferes with my ability to sleep, If they add that condition you should be able to use that to get a card.

Hopefully at 18 you won't ever need real help from mmj. Nice try though to scam mmj for personal "swagger" . . .

I understand your condition sucks and seems like nothing but cannabis works. Your 18, your not dying or in pain, you should be humping your young little ass off. The reason it is harder to obtain a card in AZ compared to CA is because CA is relaxed and claims "any debilitating illness" AZ doesn't have that.. Acid reflux, TUMS, mild insomnia , lots of sex before bed,(it works) stu-stu-shuddering,well don't think before you speak and just get it out.

I don't mean to be an ass but it sounds like you are looking for an excuse to get a card.

Acid reflux may not be a qualifying condition, but severe nausea is. Does your acid reflux cause severe nausea?

It's up to the doctor to determine if you qualify, so you should just seek one out. Many of them do not charge if they can not write you a recommendation.

To me, a desire to avoid prison is a perfectly good reason (call it "excuse" if you like) to want an MMJ card!
Put it this way, being in jail is depressing, so having an MMJ card can help prevent clinical depression! By the same logic, it may also help reduce the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

A bit more seriously, in my opinion, "medical" marijuana licensing should be only for CHILDREN (yes, you read that right). They're the only ones who should REQUIRE prior approval by physicians to consume cannabis.

For everyone else, in my opinion, any adult who wants to consume cannabis privately, should be permitted to do so without having to seek permission from the State or from physicians first. Its simply not in the interest of the State to prevent individuals from responsibly using cannabis in private. If we're going to grant any adult the right to possess cannabis and consume it privately (for whatever reason), then that would also include anyone who wants to use it medically, and for this reason "medical cannabis" should be unnecessary.

Now realistically, we have a situation where the only way adults can legally consume cannabis (medically or otherwise) is with the blessing of a physician. Its a poor compromise, in my opinion, but its still better than NO framework at all for legal cannabis consumption. So far as I am concerned, any adult who wants to go to the trouble and expense of being seen by a physician and effectively licensed by the State to consume cannabis should be allowed to do so, regardless of whether or not they meet some committee-designed (and somewhat arbitrary) diagnostic criteria.

So you are just using the MMJ law to get a buzz & not the way intended it seems ? Good luck with that one . . .

I'm not above scamming the system though, If I don't get approved for pain, I'll just lie and get it like everyone else does. But I'd like to try and do it the right way first, at least give it a shot. But these these conditions are serious. I love marijuana, i support its legalization i would love to have the card to smoke legally and at the same time fix my conditions and problems, if you dont believe that you shouldnt belong on this site.

I dont think its sad at all, age doesnt matter, kids are prescribed medical marijuana..smh i dont think you belong in this website if you think that way. marijuana doesnt do anything negative to you except treat your conditions, so idk what the age thing is about
