"Main-Lining" Ace Of Spades (tutoral)

Howdy Weed Nerds,

nugbuckets here....i have had quite a few questions about how i manage canopy, so i thought i would share....i am sure it has been done before, and a lot of folks do it, and probably even has a name, but I just call it "main-lining".....my theory being, on a plant from seed, if all branches come off of the same node on the main stem, they should all get the same amount of hormones and nutrients ...or energy, if you will.....like building a "hub"........make sense? I am all about an even canopy, of very similar sized stems, and colas.....like green lady soldiers lined up ready to kick ass and take names......no weak ones, no runts, no spindly ones.....just all solid and consistant......

.......so if they all come off the main stem, like spokes on a wheel, they should all be pretty much the same.....right?

my last grow i main-lined, but i used two nodes off the main, and noticed a great difference in the energy output of the colas between the upper and lower node, even though they were separated by a mere inch on the trunk .......but I still ended up with a decent canopy.....

....as you can see, i clipped out the main....about 3-4 nodes worth, like Sub just did on those babies of his...... i left a lower node for now...they will be my two clones....so down to only two nodes....the clone node, and the main hub.

I am confused as to what you are talking about....So you bend them over to get a few even colas?...I do the same thing..I dont' call it anything but I use topping and LST to try to get like 4 or 5 main colas....I still end up with a few stragglers...but they are great to harvest when your run out of smoke early...

....so we end up with something like this.....but with eight heads, not 16 of course.......not that 16 is bad!.....but we will shoot for 8 donkey dicks with the aos.

Sick, I'm on board now. Plants are looking lovely and I wanted to try something fairly similar to your even canopy ideas but at a micro level. (24-36 24oz bottles at a time) But honestly it was that beautiful canopy that got me! :weed:

this is my version of micro/bonzai.....these are 11 inches tall 12 days into flower....but these are clones...........you can get similar results building a hub with clones, it just takes a little bit more time working the bonzai magic...

this is a good example of what i mean about 2 nodes.......unlike this plant, the aos will have the two (bent) trunk mains, but not the bottom two.....then the two will split to four, then to eight.:hump:
