ok some new developments. after changing the water i smelled the temporary bucket i set the plant in and it did smell green like broccoli kind of. first pic is of the sick plant- theres some kind of black stuff growing or decomposing under the skin of the trunk. its squishy and it stinks...like butt. second pic is of another hydro bucket (purps) that has the same mark except rust colored instead of black, its not sqishy and the plant looks great. the third pic is the other bubba that is performing very well, no marks on the trunk. soooooo, i guess this means shes a goner because this seems to be serious damage and will not recover?
this happened so fast i feel like benicio del toro in fear and loathing......did you see what god just did to us man!!!?

Yeah man thats why water temps are important in DWC they are real important. 70 DEGREES and lower is the only way to go with DWC. In AZ I went out and bought those construction water coolers you see on the back of construction trucks. This helps a lot and would keep my water real cool for a good week. Its kind of like pool maintenance in AZ in the winter you hardley ever have to add chlorine because algae cant live in cold water in the summer it's a different story. Cool waters, no light in DWC. I hope your plants pull through, maybe a flush with H202 to kill off the disease and then back into cool water with nutes.

The exact reason I switched to Pure Coco Coir my friend!!

Hydroton + rockwool = fungi whore!!

My fix - You need to allow more time between watering schedule!!

yeah sometimes I would get algae on my rapid rooter plugs in DWC but I fixed that with those light blockers, or you can make your own out of a old Styrofoam plate.

i was just gonna advise on using h202 in this case. i am not a proponent of using it on a regular basis, but in your case i would definitely consider it. another alternative that might help you out would be using an enzyme product like hygrozyme. i would also try and do a flush of your entire system lest the healthy plants start to catch what the dead one has. adding something like aquashield would not hurt either. best of luck bro those other plants look amazing and it would be a shame if they all got disease.

i ve been bummed lately cause the weight just doesnt look like its what it should be (nearing the end of flower in my garden), but i jarred a plant i cut down on friday night and it filled the whole jar which was unexpected, then i was curious as to what it weighed, and it was 47 grams! i have three plants in my garden that are significantly smaller than the rest because i got a few clones late so they only vegged for about 2 weeks, and this was one those little plants!

Yeah man it will shrink quite a bit. I usually aim for the average yield, about a lb per 1k watt. Anything over that I'm happy. Lately my average is about 17-20 oz of dry, cured bud per light. Pretty happy with that considering all my nutes are 100% vegan organic and my medium is soil. I can't wait to try coco. :) my buddies in Cali are giving me great feedback. This grow I am currently in, I am running 17 from clone and 5 the "normal" way I do it. Hoping to pull at least 40...that's only 1.82'oz per plant. Might not seem like a lot but to pull an oz-2 from clone has been pretty challenging. Like beaver said, don't get discouraged. It all gets better with experience. Plus to me, the more you fail, the more you learn. Knowledge is power my friends :)

Do you use CO2 in your grow?
