Someone please help me as i DO NOT understand, i wan't to get an inline extractor fan my grow tent has 2 vents measuring 5.1inches.
Do i need a 5inch fan for the 5.1inch fitting?
How does it work, i will have the fan and the carbon filter in one vent, off the filter ducting since i don't have a reflect or air cooled hood just the bulb will i just have the ducting running from the carbon filter to the other vent? surely this will just run air from outside the tent through the ducting and into the fan which will be pointless as it will just be fresh air anyway and not the cannabis smell?
If i was to get a normal reflector not an air cooled hood how would i attach the ducting to it??:joint::joint::joint::weed:

Carbon filter is best used with an inline fan sucking through it, not blowing though it. What kind of tent do you have? I have never heard of a 5'' inline, only 4'' 6'' and 8''.

Growlab tent I use has a 5" opening on top. I use 4" ducting with a 4" inline fan. Hang filter at top of tent on the inside run the ducting from the filter out the top vent and sinch up the string to seal around the ducting. Attach the ducting to the intake of your fan and your done. Vacuum will pull air from the bottom vents up and out through the top creating negative pressure air circulation eliminating the need for an intake fan.

a 4 inch would do or a 5 inch, or cut the flap wider to fit a 6 inch fan.

p.s you can get a 5 inch tt 125 fan.
