Helloo..

Need some urgent advice.. My white widow germinated yesterday a root pocking out..

I need to know if its ready to go under lights!

The little seedling was planted into a soaked rock wool cube yesterday after a little root sprouted I planted it root down into the hole nice n snug a tad below the surface. With a small opening for when it decides to sprout!!
So do I keep it this as it was in its propgation crib in the dark?
Or does it need to go under lights to sprout?

Its been in the rockwool for 48hours with no sprout after germination.

I use fluffy potting soil for germinated seedlings, and use a 16 oz party cup. and yes like gog said, the seedling does not need any light until it breaks the surface, just remember to keep the soil or rock wool in your case moist at all times! don't let it dry out or chances that small tap root will shrivel and die but do not over water either and drown it. I assume this is indoors? I would suggest purchasing a couple 23-watt cfl's and stick them 2-3 inches away from your seedling once it comes out of the soil. fluorescents are ideal for starting seedlings in my opinion, their cheap, easy access, and its hard to burn the seedlings. But congrats on the germination, your on your way, I hope everything goes well, happy toking~!

relax and point root piece down an gently push into the rock wools hole if there is no hole make one. if you fell extra pre-cautions are needed you can put the whole seed in the hole and cover witha small piece of rockwool although the downside this will make it take more days but is more effective. there is no need to hide the seed from the light just the root tip. recommend watering with solution of 1/5 strength hormex and 1/10 strength kelp extract pH 6.0

HMMM 48 hours and no sprout at all? I assume since you put her in rock wool you are doing your grow in hydro? I always put my popped seeds in soil and put a 6400K cfl on them. Usually start to sprout in 24 hours.

How do I know if I'm drowning it ? Its in a small propogation tray.. Ph was 5.7 of the water the rockwool was soaked in before I placed the seed inside. until then its just been sitting under its dome.
Once a day I just check up on it and mist it to retain humidity.

no harm in putting the light on it before it pops, then when it pops itll already be under light.

should be poppin any minute now
