So I was forced to harvest a branch today. Bud too heavy and snapped right off. I'm takin' the rest down on Sunday

Here's the branch that snapped

Flowering still in progress, buds swelling nicely.

I am working my floros..... running 73F inside the tent at canopy height (still small)

You ever lower yours? I keep messing around with this t5, bringing it lower every day....... The panels are better than compact floroescent by far... they stay way cooler and you can keep them much closer :)

Thanks for nudging me to the purchase with your photos :)

Cool man! I didn't know I had any influence, awesome! I'm using t8s and t12s yes I did lower them and I was just being too cautious before, but now I let the ladies grow right into the bulb. Even touching it's still cool enough to the touch. I'm running anywhere from 70-74f in veg.

Yeah I used to think people were exaggerating when they said the foliage grew up into the lights and kept growing fine  !

I was thinking about a floro panel when I subbed to this, and seeing it all the time made me have to try one out myself....

Shit the whole panel, including bulbs.... was as much as the Hortilux MH 250w BULB alone! I paid about $115 after taxes with 10% off at my shop for the HID bulb.. compared to like $119 for the entire t5 panel.. the hortilux is a bad ass bulb, just a pain to change for only a few weeks of seedling/veg growing... plus a little more expensive for the first few weeks of electricity for seedlings..

I see. That's awesome! I was using a 400w MH for veg, but I didn't like it. Not only were temps an issue, but they grew just too damn fast. I always have plants flowering and it seems like I keep way more clones than I need. It's just so hard to throw away a perfectly good cut. Either way my 400w hps/mh was only $100 on ebay complete. And my other 400w hps is a gift from a friend who just wants 7 grams off my next harvest (sunday). As for the t12s they were installed in the garage when I moved in the house I currently reside (just upgraded the bulbs) and I added some t8s which are like $16 total at walmart with built in ballast, 2 bulbs, and everything, ready to go out the box. I'm a cheap skate, but I buy what needs to be bought.

nice find.... the hortiluxes are bad ass bulbs though if you dont know... the HPS is $80 i was so impressed with the bulb over the GE bulb that I swapped out my MH too..... id be using them both if I had a cool tube but my hood makes changing bulbs a pain in the ass.... im lazy :eyesmoke:

Lol. Yea the 400w that was given to me came with a hortilux... I have to say I see no reason to purchase any other. I'm super happy with the results.

Put the ladies in darkness for 72 hours (Thursday Morn) Just wanted to try it, never done it before. I didn't notice anymore resin production, still don't know if it made a difference.

Chopped today. Gott 1 more 12 weeker thats got three weeks left. Then got more at 4 weeks and 1 at 1 week behind that in flower.

The ladies right before chop.

Chopped! gettin' ready to do first round of trim
CIMG5829.JPG

Trimmed fan leaves, also something different I'm tryin' is hang dryin' the whole plant, rather than branch by branch. I'm sure it'll take longer to dry, but no hurry here. I'm thinkin' 5-7 days, we'll see...

probably longer for whole branches if you keep them that way

I'd go in and give it a rough trim like 4-5 days in... the extra foliage at first helps it dry slower, but in the end once its dry and crispy it's annoying to give a good trim.....

Some people keep the fan leaves on and such for a few days and just gradually work it down....

I'd love to see how the cure is in about 6 weeks.

Thanks, yea it tastes amazing already (smokin' the one branch that snapped off) so a nice cure should send it over the top.
