Ok, so tell me what you think guys, I'm 2 weeks 12/12 and have a major case of the 'browning pistols'
What do you guys think can be the causes of this? Here are some pics:

I have a couple of ideas, but have really got no experience with this symptom.
Could it be me manhandling them during the training process? I scrog a lot, and never have this issue though.
I did change my feeding schedule last grow, and started adding the pk (HG Top Booster) product at 2 weeks 12/12. I have my money on this one, what do you guys think?

Cheers Mr.T, I'm rather certain that there is no hermie. I'm in a sealed enviro, and there are no male plants around my space. Back to the overfeeding part, wouldn't they show some necrosis around the leaf edges? I'm trying to figure this out.

BTW, I did already reduce my nute strength as a precautionary measure, I wonder if I should pull Top Booster out for know, or if reducing overall strength is sufficient?

If you vegged it for a long time those might just be pre flowers that are so old they are now browning. I've seen that before.

damn thats a nice looking sea o Green... i wouldnt worry about the browning, it doesnt look that bad. Maybe could be a fan on it, my diesel started browning slowly after about the same time as yours, it just kept growing and shooting more pistols out. I also have it pretty close to the fan blowing on my t5's, could be a fan thing. But they are looking healthy as shit.

It's a thought, but I vegged them for about 4 weeks.
You know, my canopy was very dense throughout the training process for the scrog, I'm starting to wonder if it could be lack of light penetration. The symptoms look just like the way lower bud sites develop when they do not get sufficient light?!

Ive been running tahoe with 3 phenos and every one wanted to feed a little different,Id flush real good and cut my nutes back a little more,I found the tahoes and my white fires like to be started out light as hell on nutes.I dont run top booster till allmost one month into flowerIm running Gnormas from Humbolt nutes,I read this about two or 3 runs ago and its sure helped me and Ive been at since the late 70s

Yeah, I hear you! It is hard though to not worry at this state of the grow. Especially since I'm supposed to have a shit load of white pistols and I got none.

I think you are right man, I did change my feed schedule to the HG recomended dose, I think that is were the problem lies. They have a serious spike in their nutes at about 3 weeks, but they might mean from flower onset, not from 12/12 3 weeks. Usually I run my a/b at about 5ml (at week 3 from 12/12) and top booster does not go in until week 4 from onset, this run I am at 8ml a/b starting week 3 12/12 and they have a good dose of Budxl in there as well starting week 3. I didn't like it, but there was no signs of leaf burn...

I dont know if its the lighting, but i see more white hairs that brown ones. And yeah we all know what you mean, im about to finish my first grow in a week, and have been freaked out twice majorly, but they ended up just me being new. Its fun as hell though, a great past time.

So I'm still not clear on if it is possible to burn the pistols without burning the leafs? I've been growing for 5+ years, but never seen that?! Or is it just the early pk?

Well, I got some good responses, but would like to get a little deeper into this before this thread dies.
Here are some more pics:

There is no doubt that something has caused the pistols to die back. Overall flower onset seemed kind a slow as well (compared to my normal grows), they are at 3 weeks 12/12 when these pics were taken.
I didn't think it was a burn since I have absolutley no necrosis on the leaf margins.
But since I have read that over fertilization can cause the pistols to die back prematurely.
Anybody with experience on this? I'm kind a stumped :(

Damn man I haven't had this happen to me yet, but it DEF looks like something is really unnatural going on.... you might have a real problem, if that is truly 3 weeks, or about 2 since you've seen first pistols even, your growth is slow and/or retarded "bud wise" I have no Idea whats going on, hope me posting this gets some more views...
