EBB & Gro vs Flood and drain

Need a professional opinion before I invest in a system. Was thinking either Cap Monster ebb & gro 6 site system (5 gal buckets) or a bontacaire flood and drain table. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Lighting will be 1000w in air cooled reflector running in the secret jardin dr 150

If you are considering a 6 plant system, it seems like you are leaning towards fewer plants. If that is the case, the ebb & gro will work well. You can spread your plants out and grow some trees with it, which is hard to do with a table.

Consider hanging your light vertically with your plants in a circle around it and rotating them every couple of days for some big producers. Cheers.

YOu can do SOG in an ebb and flow table

You can also lose everything if the pump gives out
Algae is also a pain in the ass

this is a much better system than the CAP one. they are the only ones that i will use anymore. that is if you wanted to do a bucket system. since you only want to use a single 1000w i would say a tray system would be better for you to utilize your space better with a SOG setup.

you dont lose everything if you check on your plants atleast every couple days.......also algae only occurs if you dont set up your system correctly i have never had an issue with algae

Flood Table, less stuff to break down.

Either way you go, you can save a ton of money by building the system yourself(can't stress this enough)!

If you want something that is going to be easier on you.. get the buckets.

If you want to maximize your yield potential but for more work get the table.

We use both buckets and tables. With 9 buckets in a 5x5 space we can do about 4 to 5 oz per plant with 4 - 5ish weeks of veg depending on strain. With the tables we can do about 2 oz per plant and pack about 36 in that space with 2 weeks less veg time.

So out of a 5x5 space you can pull about 2.5 pounds using the buckets...with less work but more time. Or you can pull about 4.5 pounds with the same space in less time but with much more work. And you'll be needing to find a strain and pheno to work best in your sog and dial it in.

Tables are great but you are going to lose a couple of feet of headroom as compared to the buckets. However, the yield potential is higher with the table using the SOG.

For Sativas we like to use the buckets because they allow us to grow out larger plants and running sativas in a table isn't efficient because of the headroom. I have tried to pack as many 64 sativas in 4" cubes on a table.. yielded over 2.5 but man that was a lot of freaking clones to take at once. However we did this with no veg at all and I was happy with the results though I wouldn't do that again.

So, at the end of the day figure what you want to grow and why you're growing it in the first place. Cash cropper go for a table... head stash go for buckets...and somewhere in between you'll just have to decide how much work are willing to put into your grow.
