One Pound Strains

Hello RIU, I hope you all are having a good high day!

Is there a strain that has the potential to be a 1lb producer?

I was recommended top skunk, but I think that would be a bit too stinky if you get my drift!

Thanks

A would say many strains are lb+ possible. 2 of my 9 Nirvan Northern Lights were + lb'ers last year.
The year before I had 5 Bubblegum + pound plants from clones.

But that's assuming you veg em indoors for 6-8 weeks in 2-4 gallon pots.I get some of my bigger ones close to 2 feet when they go in the ground about end of may/first june.

g13 is very stinky as is any of the really good strains I've ever had. If you can't handle stink critical mass yields as many pounds as the light and resources you give it.

I got 6lbs off 2kw indoors with it, but I still don't reccomend it very highly the quality is just that of "mids".

That doesn't mean it won't still stink, it's just less odorous than the good stuff. Pounds of anything is going to stink to one degree or another.

While people are on the topic here.... when seed co's say a plant will yield so much weight, do they mean wet or dry weight? No body seems to specify.

It's dry weight ALWAYS.

Are you saying you grew Dr Greenthumbs G13, hard to believe as it was just relesed.
Dr Gruber who is one of the very first test growers says it's almost odorless.

I don't know about dr greenthumbs g13, I just saw "g13".

g13 is a well known strain that's been around a long time and always yielded huge amounts. Doubled's grows used it one or two years ago yielding more than nearly anything in history at that time, now I realize there are alaways a few new ones and have been since then, but I don't put much stock in the idea you must have the latest and greatest $100 a bean thing that's only been out such a limited time it can barely be past f1 or f2 stable.

It takes years to make a stable and consitant new strain, and g13 the original wasn't lacking. If you think you want this new strain fine, pay for it and see how it goes and report back, otherwise get the tried and true g13 of old which is stable and consistant and a huge yielder.

The g13 I grew was the g13 of old from medical clones in my area about 1-2 years ago.

Vapekush what seed sellers say about yield is useless, doesn't matter wet or dry it's bullshit. Go off what the best growers are using and what results you can see in pictures and their text based on their type of grow and food and lights.

Follow this doubled's picture to it's source, this is the original g13 at only 6 weeks into flower. If that's not good enough, I don't know what is.

This seems to confirm my opinion:

It does look much smaller in comparison, but I didn't look into the details to see how it was grown, if they used anything like dd's lighting which was vertical 1k's in a checkerboard pattern just like krusty buckets used, but dd would not show a bud next to a tiny lighter as his best example.

Looks good, but this is not anything equal to what dd got:

you get a bonus seed so it's ONLY a mear $67/seed.
The price will come down to his other gears price after pays for the clone, Is it worth it to wait another year though.
Thats a lil better lol ...i heard he payed real fat for that cut....but everything has a price i guess. I still deem it worthy for 100 or 67 frogskins a bean lol

No, it was the same g13 going around med clubs in cali and oregon and etc, not anything special, good old proven g13. My cut was free when I was a member of a local medical group. Anything you want to know about the biggest yielding strains is in doubled's section of that forum, those people just took krusty buckets to another level and the only way to utilize that system properly is with the highest yielding strains of all time.

Doc's seeds are selfed (AKA feminized) off a clone he paid $25,000 so they are as stable as the clone was.
ANYWAYS we're talking outdoor growing where this strain will reach it's full potential not under artificial light.
Whether it is the real G13 is irrelevant to me as long as it produces as well as claimed and has the potency as claimed.

There are many many strains out there, that given the proper climate, sun, water, space and love will yield a pound of dry flowers. As a matter fact, there are more that will than not. Even the smallest of Indicas, can be vegged extra time, and given all the proper variables will do it for ya. But there are many factors and variables like was already stated, that decide the final yield of a cannabis plant. But if your lookin' for a strain that will do it fairly easily, look for a good hybrid, that way you get the overall size of a sativa, with the density and weight of an indica. They usually are easier to grow overall, and have better vigour than their pure counterparts.
Plant in full sun if possible, in a light , airy soil, that drains well and let her rip! Good luck!
