its about two feet away and good news i see one plant starting to come through! i have no incoming fresh air is that bad?

I was having problems, then i got a Hydrofarm Germination with heat pad for $20 on Amazon, now I only soak the Rockwool for about 2 hours, 3-4 days and all is perfect in a dark room in the germination station and you have beauties every time

I dont have incoming air either. Take a look at my grow journal the link is my sig. My room is not a sealed room either so idk. Ill have too look back and see where you are growing. I would think if you are growing in a tent you would need some incoming air.

Yes. yours are also stretching. This can be a common problem using HID lights for seedlings. I use flouros when they are that young. The problem with the HIDs is if you get them close enough to not cause a stretch you will burn them up. I keep flouros a couple inches away and the plant doesn't stretch. After the root ball is well established I slowly bring them toward the MH until they are happy..

4 white widow seeds from Nirvana.
#1. germed in paper towel / distilled water. After 2 days all seeds cracked and root showing.
#2. placed seeds in saturated rockwool cubes placed in hume dome w/lights on 24/0.
#3. After 4 days no further growth.
#4. removed seeds from rockwool & placed in soil with superthrive and 20-20-20 nutes, mixed to manufacturers specification or less.
#5. next day one seed showed growth above soil approx 3/4 of an inch.
Trial and error is an ongoing thing in botany
4/20/2011 - UPDATE: the (3) seeds never sprouted. The one that did is doing fantastically. So, rockwool did not work for me to germinate seeds. My buddy Doug just germed 5 master kush seeds in rockwool. He told me they grew to approx 5 inches with the cotylodon leaves showing only and after three days they fell over and died. I have successfully cloned using rockwool, but that is the only use I have for it.

Your buddys seeding that grew 5 inches in 3 days was definetly stretching!
