Spring appears to have sprung !
Any adventure stories out there? Whats everybody enjoying this spring?
I got together with a couple of friends & we took a ride sunday - 30+ miles up through a 1500' pass (we live just above sea level) and back down the other side to a very large bay, and I was relieved to see Lots of nice fat Blacktail deer. The winter has been kind to them & many pregant does were around, plus a couple dozen wild bison and the odd fox or two. Several sets of brownie tracks, but nothing fresh which was ok with me. We made it all the way to the beach & looked for treasures - the only thing of note was I scrounged a piece of crabline so I could tow a Yamaha grizzly back to the jump off point. We all have 3K winches, but towing with a cable sucks ! Two ice covered lake had to be skirted - we rode atop the ice along the edges - I know the water/ice depth over which we were riding was only a foot or so, but it still feels weird to ride on that much ice. Bad ass Suzuki tore it up as the snow was getting rotten later in the day - 2' deep in places & lemme tell you that "Diff Lock" and the Executioner tires worked like a charm. Drop it in two wheel drive & dump the throttle - Snow Rooster Tail ! Wooohhoooo ! :hump:

So what adventures are you having?

I'll post a couple more pics if anyone is interested.
Peace
GWN

Either way its the same climate....and I know you love it...cause I do...nothing like fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, hunting(when in season) and 4 wheelin whenever you want.
You caught me - I only work so I can afford cool toys ! :-P
The new Suzuki has 32.5 miles on it so far & lots of fun left.

spring has been in full bloom here since late February feels good to ride around with the ghetto air conditioning(rolled down massive windows) blowing in the warm spring air during the day and the cool air at night rolling down the street in my land yacht with Smokey playing through the only speaker left in my car

I tagged this line yesterday, Its warm in the valley but no sign of spring up here yet.

Dropped in just a little bit left of the tower.

Once spring does come though, its time to dust off the kayak and get ripping in some whitewater.

nice.. i was just in a store today looking at some kayaks.. considering getting a tandem for my nephew and i.. was much cheaper then i was thinking it was going to be, and i'm really considering getting it.. would be awesome to take out on the small lakes we have around here so that i could get into some of the more less acessable fishing holes and pull out some hogs..

Do it up, kayaking is such a relaxing thing to do in the summer. I have a playboat so its not very good in lakes and stuff, but man can it surf and maneuver in the white water. Back when I lived on the east coast I used to fish in my uncles kayaks all the time, just laying back in the sun casting.

Again GWN, (and Kodank as well) I'm envious! Those pics deliver!

Its been nice around here, chilly and a little gloomy the past few days, but spring is definitely in the air!

Fishin', swimmin', camping, exploring, and CAMPFIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hot Dahummmmmmm, its time for some good camp fires to have some equally good bud passed around them.
