When do autoflowers stretch?

I have some autos that I think are about 3.5 weeks old, and they are budding pretty good at this point, have quite a few bud sites, but aren't really stretching out any. Do they have a normal time zone they spread out more?

Hopefully they never stretch. Sounds like you've got a good thing going, that your nodes are tightly spaced, that's good. Just let it go and be patient. The more tightly spaced the nodes, the heavier your harvest will be.

How tight are you keeping your light on them and what type is it?

I'm just thinking like you know when you turn a reg strain to 12/12, and they end up doubling in size? Wondering if autos have a growth spurt like that at any point. I'm growing them in 3 gallon grow bags, and have a 600hps cool tube, with a dr100 tent.(3x3') I can get the light probably 4 inches away if I want, but I have it more like 8" at the moment.

8 inches is too close for a 600, should be at least 16", no more than 20". This is keeping the plant short, and in the end will burn the pistils, meaning no bud to smoke. What kind of temps are you running?

i have my 600w 6 inches away. its fine as long as the temps are low enough.

maybe you should pull the light back a few inches, and see how it is in a couple days.

My temps basically don't get over 75 degrees. Highest I've seen them get at this point is like 72.

My grow room op is in my sig.

No, he's not fine. Those temps are too low. Optimal temp for marijuana is 78-81 degrees with 45-55% humidity. A 600w hps should not be 8" close to a flowering plant, this is an auto, it's budding. You're only getting away with 6" if your bulb is old and putting out less radiation.

I've been growing for a long time, decades, and I know from experience that his light is too close. If he keeps it that tight he will burn the pistils and bleach the leaves.

you be watin for a long time for auto to stretch
cause they dont really just grow a little then flower then die sorry
the ruderalious plant brigs the the auto features the cross whatever mixed with it brings the head cause rudy has no high to it
thats why rudy always gets mixed wit somethung strong to make up for rudy in the auto entry
i have seen some little ass autos that yield 2 spliffs --and i have seen some monsters

autos love just water first 2 weeks
autos love starting in starter soil not hot soil
autos will flower in 3 weeks or so
autos love light
autos love root stimulator
atuto need 18/6 or 20/4 light schedule

autos dislike transplant 1 time gently--maybe --thats what i do
autos hate 12/12 light schedule
autos hate full strenth nutes
autos can be cloned but a waste of time--mother and daughter will flower and die together --why
start food after week 2 at 1/4 strenth max at 1/2 strenth
i normally flush week 7 then give molasses and water till trichs say its chop time
more light more yield 2 cfl a hand full--mh more --hps more and hard buds--paerfect outside in best climate-- a big ziplock
easy to grow just let them go dont change light schedule --i normally give veg till i see flower start then switch food only

enjoy-keep em green-1Luv

my bulb is new, fresh with this grow. like every one i do. 75 is optimal but with c02 you can safely run higher temps. i get away with 6 inches because i run vert setups, and dont have trapped heat from reflectors. if his temp is good his light doesnt need to be moved. melvan why dont you post up some pictures of how far your light is from your plants?

I get a 1/2 oz off one branch under a 400hps. If autos give that low of a yield why grow them at all?
I chose autoflowers for my current grow mainly because of space limitations, and the possibility of a perpetual grow with one light setup.

Autos are nice to run in your veg ten along side photos. I've never bought any but have been gifted a bunch. Just set up this tent and threw 3 in a bucket. Should pull quite a lot from 3 autos. And mine did stretch. Cream of the crop, auto purple kush, and easy kush. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1452228314.561223.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1452228331.377071.jpg
