I have the starter aerograden tabs in two different sizes. I think I will start with 1 small tab a week to start, does that sound good?. I bought a bunch of distilled water in 4 litre jugs. I was thinking about adding 1 starter nute tab to each 4 L jug so that when my res water gets low and I add more, it will be at the same ppm right? because if you add plain water before the end of the week, then it will change the ph right? There is so much to learn! :-? :joint:
Just start out at 1/4 of a small nute tab when you add your nutes.

Hey again. Also wondering if it is absolutely crucial that you change the res water every week? I guess it probably promotes steadier ph levels hey? I am kinda lazy haha but if its really important I will.

Also, I am only starting one plant because this is my first time, so which of the 6 grow holes should I use? probably one in the back I am guessing because thats the tallest I think.

When I first start my machine up, should I do it right in the morning so that its on the same schedule as me? up for 16 hours and sleep for 8...

I really appreciate that this forum exists and I've gotten so much advice it's great! Are there any other threads that I should check out for the aerogarden?

you guys fuckin rock!!
Yeah man try and do it every week, if anything every two weeks, you dont want stuff building up in your rez which will mess with the pH.
Put the plant in the middle hole if your only doing one

look at this thread, idk if you looked yet but i answered lot of his questions which alot are similar to yours.

Oh also since I am only starting 1 plant to start, should I be using less nutrients? I was thinking of mixing 1 small tab per 4L... would that be too much? how many plants is perfect for the aerogarden? (6 grow holes) and how do you know how to adjust the nutrients accordingly? thanks everyone!!
dosnt matter how many plants you have, you always start at 1/4 strength to be safe and slowly work your way up

Thanks ! You've been a great help

Nutrient Question:

Is it okay to use a grow and bloom fertilizer at the same time?

I have advanced nutrients Grow 2part and Bloom 2part. I'm thinkin maybe half strenth each? They're in their first week of flower...

Thanks in advance!

I waited 6 weeks to flower in my aero system and i think i could have went sooner... ending my third week in flower now and they are TALL!! maybe a little sooner would have been better but we shall see... this i my first attempt at all this so i am learning daily.. USE A NET my poor tall ladies are falling over!!

my first one did that too and i just ended up taking their light off after it burnt a bud and just using other cfl's. I basically just used it for clones after that.

I would suggest not using the AG nutes at all. They have way too much salt and it is hard to keep your EC down after about a month.
I'm about to start my first grow!!! Just waiting for the seeds to arrive. So I pretty murch read this entire thread. For the sake of simplicity I ordered feminized autos. This maybe very stupid question but what is 'EC.' Also, did you fim/top your plants? If so, when and where? Your plants look great!
you can grow just as much bud in the AG as you could almost any grow, if you have sufficient lights, and meet the standards of the plants, you can do anything. From wat i have seen, with harvest pics, you can get an ounce per place with some good CFL's, and easily 3 if you have a big enough HPS, like anything, if you throw a HPS in there, its guarantee success :D
what is hps? plz and thx

HEEEELLLLLPPP, i have the aerogarden and am waiting on my pods and stuff to get here. Thing is that i already germinated my seeds and they cracked out of the shells already and i am still two days out from getting my pods and domes. I would have waited until you got all the stuff.....you could try them in soil and then replant them in the AG...no promises though.

I don't know about the dimensions of the AG but there's a top to root ratio or top to bottom ratio if you will. That limits the size of the plants unfortunately but allows you to time your flower for the appropriate moment.

u say to change the water every week, yet that fm link u have posted says to change the water roughly every 2 weeks

What model/size AG is necessary? Is the 3-pod sufficient or is the 7-pod significantly better?
Thanks from a noob,

7 pod has more room, i've only seen seen a couple grows with the 3 pod one, the plants will drink a whole rez in a day easy once you start flowering, so that 3 pod one would have to be topped off more often.

Thanks SICC, appreciate the quick response. Hadn't considered reservoir size. Two follow-ups if you don't mind. Is their a favorite 7-pod model? Admittedly, I haven't really looked through the differences. Second, how many plants is it reasonable to grow at the same time in a seven? Or rather, how many non-fem seeds would it be reasonable to start at the same time?
Thanks again for helping me get started.
