I'm looking into a led UFO..... I have a 1.4" wide x 1.4" deep 3.11" tall. Do you think one single 90w UFO will fully go. Trying tonier it as a flower room

over the last year I'm up to 5 of the 400 watt and 3 of the 100 watt for just clone/veg inda-gro fixtures running and the plants really do love them. FYI I had one of the 400 watt lights just quit working after a month. I checked the lamp with another one that was working and it was not the lamp. So I sent the light back to inda-gro and they repaired the driver with a part that had went bad on the board. They don't use ballasts but high frequency drivers. I had it back in running in about 2 weeks all at no charge. So there is something to be said for dealing with a US mfg whenever possible IMO.

Protect yourself and contact any of the induction grow light companies and see if they actually stock what they sell. Also be very wary of the induction screw in socket lamps or internal electrode type. They do not handle heat well and have a history of burning up. I know because I bought some of these fucking things thinking I'd spread them around a bit. Complete fucking junk.

inda-gro only sells bi-spectrum external electrode induction and they are the one's who told me about the other styles problems. you can also see the lamps up close and some of the comparative values. oh well live and learn.

now it's time for my fresh pick morning blunt baby! Chaz out!

Check out inductionlamps.com for some interesting deals.

edit: KaptK- The Kessil 150 is 36w, not 150. It's amazing.

haha coo good to know man, as for height with the haight models cant tell you but i know with my blackstar if i put it closer than ten inches it caused some funny lookin wavy leaves from too much light intensity. I dont know what model of haight panel you are using but im using a 240w panel so its got some power behind it not like a 90w ufo or something. I've decided what i am going to do, i am going to be picking up 3 kessil h150's as soon as i got the money maybe i can get a discount on 3 at once or somthing, but it will be two magneta and one blue i am going to run the two magneta ones in concert with my blackstar panel in flowering over a gh waterfarm and the blue one will be over another gh waterfarm i am going to pick up for veg. =) Im very happy with that right now, now i just have to pick up these kessils and see for myself if they are worth it over induction, i know if i dont like em im sure viagro would take em from me lol

I'm not convinced they're junk, just yet. Maybe eventually, but I'm seeing phenomenal plant response under my bi-color induction lamp. Good to know about the heat sesitivity, but I can manage that. I'm using smaller ones, 50w and less, just as supplemental lighting. I put a 50w in a pendant fixture in my entryway and all the plants there are going wild over it.

Woah, hold on there, big fella. I've been doing everything I can to get you not to jump in with both feet. Seems to me getting one to see how you like it makes more sense, before you go hog wild. :)

I'm impressed with how well my vegging has gone under the magenta, I probably would've done much better with more blue, but I can't complain.

I'm going to start small only two auto flower in a cabinet with a 180w lighthouse hydro HO Led
since this led is more for the grow spectrum i'm thinking two side mounted 2700K CFL's.
Will a small 5"x2" passive intake be enough to keep plants happy? if i use internal fan for circulation inside?
I'm total newb and could use some help
Why risk mercury contamination with the cfls? The Lighthouse light will give you all you need.

Just a little 4" desk fan is probably plenty.

Welcome to the world of LEDs, the water's fine, just make sure to use a good surge protector.

thanks, 4" fan was what i was thinking for the inside. and i'll try and find a good surge protector, any specific features i should look for what is the purpose of this for the led lights? Also i've heard not to use a timer with the Bigger CFL lights since a charge trickles thru it can screw things up. is this also true for LEDs??? if i don't use the 2700k cfl's i'm worried i won't have enough "flower power" but i was also considering a small all red led spot light to add the spectrum. Does anyone know the best brand for these or a good deal to be had i think my local grow shop has one for $90

You can get an LED GrowSpot @ Greners.com for 72.95. If you want to know why surge protectors are essential for LED lights, read the info on this page.

Get away from CFLs, the mercury hazard is real, and gnarly.. They can break, and sometimes they just explode.

I wouldnt call this jumpin in with both feet its just the plan if i like the one magneta one im picking up for my current table setup. I have to get one more LED cause theres two tables one with 240w over it another with cfl the cfl has to go. So instead of another 240w panel im going to pick up a magneta color h150 not going to really use it for any veg hardly so no big deal there. The way i will have my other room setup after this go around is the 240 with 2 magneta supplementals over one and blue one over another waterfarm. That is if i like it. So that being said i dont think that's jumpin in i should have been more clear as to the plan...

uh oh i dont think im running a surge protector on my LED shit hahah wow i would overlook that wouldnt i.

wire it up and you got a monster 4 inch fan

I really don't think you will be disappointed with the H150 Magenta, I'm running two of them in my flowering space and seriously considering getting a H150 Purple for vegging area.

Purple is the one that works for the full grow, Magenta is for flowering and it doesn't have the same amount of blue in the light.
I'm using a magenta, start to finish, and my girl is zooming.

I might've made a little more progress early on with a a purple, but I'm getting great results with the magenta.

I forgot to mention: I talked to a Kessil rep and he said they were coming out with white grow lights soon.

Sup Dudes,

I'm still making little observations on my LED vs HiD grow. has anyone else notices that the pistils closest to the LED seem to be erect? I definitely have this phenomena happening. The buds around and just under the HiD are kinda limp dickin it. But the pistils on the LED side look ready to rock!!

Oh and by the way the side of the plant which started flowering on HiD is larger in mass that the LED side. You can see it in the pics in my grow. I'll start another thread outlining my findings...

:peace:
