What do I need?

OK, I was sitting around watching movies about Ganja(Marijuana) and Greenhouse Seeds CO. and I decided I want to grow but I know nothing about it. I was inspired by Arjan The King of Cannabis and wanted to know all his secrets like how he makes a Sativa grow like a Indica and how he keeps the plants short but like a bush that stiill has a decent yeild.

I ordered 5 Greenhose Feminised Arjan's Strawberry Haze Seeds.

Temp: ??? he said something about 21* during day and 15* during night
pH: 5.5 raise to 5.9 in 5th week (I'm lost here.)
IE: 1.5 1.6 (I have no idea what this is.)
Humidity: 50% (How do I get this?)

Equipment:
80 Liters Container
Lots more... but don't know what

Oh! I have only a shed to work with that can fit 12 people MAX in it.

Most of the specifics of growing marijuana are only true with some strains.. i have a turn key grow box, and all the conditions in it are always perfect. i always grow a few plants in the closet. they usually turn out about the same. with the exception of a few indica strains that act like lil bitches.

just make sure you have good lights, i prefer led over anything. make sure your plants are getting the proper nutes(npk ratio). humidity really isnt too big of a problem, i've gorwn fine in 10% and somtimes my closet get to over 80%.

since its your first grow, dont expect to grow it as bomb ass as it could have been, unless you get a turn key. just try and get the basics down and learn from your mistakes on your first grow, thats the most important thing.

so pretty much the most important things for you to worry about are

-pH. just buy a ph meter and some ph solution to get it where you want it.

-lights. get led if you can.

- proper nutes and npk ratio.

-dont overwater.

And before you grow in the shed, bomb it for bugs, then get some bug spray that lasts a week or so and spray the outside(any place of entry for the bugs at least.) everyweek,

when i grew in a shed pests were a prob. until i started doing that.

Keep it simple and cheap for your first grow; get Ionic, use bag seeds cause you're probably going to fuck up like everybody else did on their first grow. *IF* your plants survive you overwatering them, overnuting them, them not getting enough light, etc, etc, etc, then you should buy some good seeds and do another grow. Best of luck.

Well like I need to know what lights to get and how to make the Sativa plants grow like Indica and how to make them like bushes instead of tall plants that could bring un-wanted attention and couldn't fit in my shed.

I need:
Humidifier
Lights
Temperature Controler
Soil
Fertilizer
Nutes
Schedule

For a first time you dont gotta be pro ok. Just get a 1 gallon pot, some good soil (fox farm is recomended), and some cfl lights. Learn to germinate a seed, water only when needed and keep temp right. Once you learn to get a few crops down with this stuff then you can get more into all the advanced growing methods. Like using fert, ph, nutes, better lights, humidity, or even hydroponicly growing. Just start off easy, or you will drive yourself crazy.

Once you get a plan and a grow room set up and you need more help then everyone here at rollitup will help you out!!!

I don't know about needing the humidifier unless you have very dry air where you are. The temp controller is probably unnecessary too. If you use a premium soil you won't need much nutes.

for a first grow id start with some cfl florecent lights get the bulbs that produce more blue spectrum then red you wont regreat it and there cost efficient if you get the tube kind you'll need 2 tubes for every foot of width but i usualy double that to raise humidity buy a spray bottle and mist your plant a couple times a day just dont dush them lol, and try to get your tempature to between 68 and 75 is about perfect as far as nutes go i wouldnt worry about it untill your seedlings are about 6 to 7" tall then find a high N low P mid K solution be sure to delute it sufucently like 1/4th teaspoon per gallon, and fine yourself an osolating fan works wonders dont have it directly blowing your ladies just a slight fludder of the leaves is all you want good luck and keep us posted

I would highly recommend research and reading everything you can find. It ain't hard to grow a weed but getting something worthy of smoking is a different thing entirely.

Here is a synopsis of what i've learned from this site, other reading and very limited experience.....you'll need:

1) Space - it should be enclosed so you can have more control over ventilation, heat, humidty, security, etc..

2) Lights - very important. You need something that replicates sunlight as closely as possible. I'd recommend HID or High Intensity Discharge lighting (MH or Metal Halide for grow and HPS or High Pressure Sodium for flowering) but this site has a lot of proponents of CFL and other types of light. So your mileage may vary.

3) Something to put the plants in - soil or hydro? This can be a huge discussion so you have to decide if you're going with soil or hydro then go from there. The answer to this question can help determine how often to water (with hydro you are on a schedule - w/soil you check the soil and water accordingly). Soil vs. hydro can also define what nutrients you use and a few other choices you'll need to make.

4) Ventilation/Air Circulation - you'll need at least an 1) exhaust fan (to remove heat and replace CO2), an 2) air intake hole or fan (a passive air intake hole should be slighly larger than the exhaust opening to improve fan life and to avoid creating a vacuum in an airtight chamber) and a 3) circulating fan blowing on the plants (to strengthen them and keep air moving)

5) Odor control - this would include carbon filters/ozone generators

You'll also need nutrients and seeds. My opinion (and some others have recommended this also) is to start with bag seeds until you have had some success and then buy some decent seeds but you may want to start with a known strain.

As for nutrients or nutes, you can look online and find a ton of info but they usually break down into grow and bloom formula with a possible third one. For example: General Hydroponics has Flora Micro, Flora Grow, and Flora Bloom. You use all three for all growth/bloom phases but in different amounts (more grow during vegetative, more bloom during flowering). Instructions are on the packages. I think one of the easiest (and highly concentrated) choice would also be from General Hydroponics and that is the Flora Nova series. There are only two (grow and bloom). There are also a lot of supplements, foliar feeding, and other nutrients but using grow/bloom works fine. One word of caution - a little bit of nutes goes a long way!

Another thing you should know is how the plant grows. It obviously starts as a seed or cutting (clone), then enters the seedling stage. Vegetative is the next stage with flowering being the final stage before either dropping pollen (male) or generating seeds (female). Keep all the males out of your grow room and the females will not be pollinated. But instead will grow big resinous seedless buds (sinsemilla)! This is the point of getting rid of the male plants.

So it goes:
1) Cloning or seed germination
2) Seedling
3) Vegetative
4) Flowering

After the plant is done flowering and ready to harvest (a large percentage of the stigmas turn amber or brown), you cut it down, trim it, hang it in the dark (or in a paper bag) until the stems snap when broken and then you can start slowly curing it. You put the dry bud in jars or tupperware and release air daily (if mold forms get rid of the moldy bits and go back to the drying stage). Don't rush this step! the slower the dry/cure - the more tasty the smoke! Eventually the bud will not remoisten and at that point it is completely ready for storage and enjoying!

This was obviously a very brief overview with many missing bits of information. Please let me know if anything should be changed or corrected otherwise - good luck, have fun and happy growing!

I already want to grow like a pro only think I need is equipment and a Schedule infact thats the main KEY to growing imo and I already know how to germinate. Sorry if I sound a bit annoyed but I catch on to things pretty fast and this might be another one of those "its in my genes" and if I catch on to growing fast then buying all the newbie items are pointless if I have to turn right around and buy more items and yes a Temp. and Humidifier are needed being I live in California.

Well ok, start reading every thrad you see and then get hot and busy.

And for the tip, people will like you more if you dont post a thread every 30 minutes asking dumb questions. Ty not to sound like a newb, please, there are so many newbs that are ignorant and dumb. Just get a few seeds germinated and start from there.

Here, this guide will answer atleast 80% of your questions.

get LED lights

High quality and affordable Led Grow Lights

unless you need some warmth from your lights.

I dont suggest LED lights. thats just me though. I am only teaching how to roll, and the guy ur taking advice from on the subject can barely roll. LED lighting has a future, but the time is now. go HID. also try to no type in such small shit. its hard to read. give us some details on your situation and area.

Alright, hows this?

Well I'm stuck trying to find all the supplies I will need and a schedule for growing Feminised Arjan's Strawberry Haze he allows his Sativa to grow like a Indica and I also want to know how how to do that and keep my plants at bushes instead of trees since I don't want the attention.

I'm working in a shed that can fit about 12 people in it(havn't measured it).

I need:
ph Meter
Humidifier
Temp. Controler
Air

wow sounds like an exciting canidate. pretty much to keep your plants from stretching tall, you need intense light. plants wont stretch stems if light is intense enough. honestly bro if your trying to grow a shed that big, you need more knowledge.

your going to need at least a 1000 watt hps to flower 10 plants. switchable ballast if u want MH for veg. your going to have to get an inline fan to exhaust the area. possibly carbon filters. your going to need water, nutrients, ph up, ph down. are you growing soil or hydro? im not going to tell you how to grow in one post. I have over 1,000's post's, and i spent 6 years researching how to grow b4 i even started. just giving my honest opinion.
