What are these brown spots on my leaves? dont get the plants confused tho...im speaking of the brown spots on the right leaf. the brown on the left is from an older potassium deficiency we had. these brown spots are on a couple leaves all seem to be on the tips like that. any clue????? i thought magnesium deficiency, then i considered pests. i really dont know. magnesium looks the closest in my opinion. ok ph has been real good. been keepin it right at 6 but it fluctuates anywhere from 5.8-6.1. Usin AN grow/micro/bloom 3-1.5-1. my ppm now is at 1100 and its been doin fine @ 1000-1100. Its hydro so...water all the time lol. dwc. Temps are in the 70s at all times. Humidity is anywhere from 40-60 at all times. We had a potassium deficiency at the beginnig of our grow which causes some of the lower leaves to suffer but that was weeks ago and they've been doin great for a good month now. i have observed some sort of gnat or fruit fly round my plants...eatin away some of my leaves...not sure if that'd have anything to do with it...just thought it may help. if u need anymore info lemme know. ANY IDEAS???????

Is that the only leaf it is on?
the lower leaves are fine, the new leaves are fine...its the middle leaves that have them. on that individual plant...id say...2 leaves have them on each finger. i just went and looked and its showing up on some other plants too. nothing more extreme than the picture u saw...everything is looking the exact same way. they arent crispy like a nute burn would be. and the new shoots are fine which would also indicate its not nute burn right? i actually read somewhere that magnesium deficiency effects the middles leaves...its just hard for me to find a beginning stages pic of it...what should i do?

Poor ventilation systems can cause these types of problems
bud 123.JPG this is the set up i have. i bought a 3-panel presentation cardboard thingy, lined it with mylar, and we put it in front of this opening to close it off. we open the thing about 5 times a day.this is in a house with easy airflow. do you think ventilation is still a problem?

ok so my camera was dead, but i pressed the on key and had like 15 seconds to take these pictures. the first 4 are pictures of another plant with the spots. they arent as clear cuz i had to take them in a hurry, but do you see the spots im talkin about? and how the tops are nice n clear, yet those middle ones are actin up. the last picture is how the entire plant looks from the original pic.

I think I might have an Idea! how old are your plants?

I see salt build up on you medium???
plants are about 7 weeks old. yea i dunno how to fix the salt problem. its been there since day one. i wash em offf every week and put in new water n nutes and it just comes back every time. i figured since the roots were nice n long n white it wasnt an issue.......was i wrong?

How often do you check your ph of res during the week and ppm too! Notice anything?

And 1000ppm seems high for your plants...no? They are 8" tall?

we check the ph and ppm about...3-5 times a day. i mean the ph usually climbs slowly for the first 2 days or so then stays fairly steady. yea we're flowering next thursday...they're about 9 inches now. nutrient burn turns the leaves crispy and they brown and curl up right?

Ph too! If you are holdin @ 6.0 and it creeps up than you are outa range for your system...5.5-6.1

Also to much nutes over long periods will cause Lockout of nutes! or nute burning!!!
