Hey guys .. Ill make this short . I'm trying to cool my 6foot tall 32 inch wide and 16inch deep grow box. I'm using 600w hps. I made a cool tube with a 6inch inline fan and a glass cylinder pulling passed the light bulb. I have air blowing in with a 4 inch fan from the outside so fresh air gets in and a 4 inch exhaust at the top of the side of the box.... What else can I do.?? Buy a real cool tube?
. The temps get to 90 somtimes....

Inlet as in a fan blowing air in the box? I got one. Its a fan ducted to the outside air pulling fresh air in.. Also the fan pulling the heat from the lamp is exhausted also tothe outside.. Not outside of the box but both outside of the room as well
anyway to add an inlet fan to the room?

u need to have something sucking air outta the room. squirrel cage fans are great for exhaust. sucks plenty of heat out and connect a carbon filter to absorb the odor.

or try this

From what I've read about cooling a room, Its all about the CFM rating of your fan...the higher the number, the more air it pushes. A 250 cfm fan would probably be better for you

i use a 440 CFM to exhaust my box (24" x 46" x 75") and a 170 CFM to exhaust my air-cooled 1000w light to keep temps reasonable.

anyone considered buying one of those electric coolers - thermo electric - and take it apart and adapt it to the grow box? I am sure it would not cool a large area, but maybe it would work if you only needed 10 deg. drop ??

you could wire it up to a thermostat that would turn it on/off...
