How long do I have to wait after certification? when do disp. recognize paperwork?

I just got my dr certification today, and have not even mailed it into the state yet (later this afternoon hopefully).

I was told by the clinic that I would be legal "20 days after mailing in the application with payment"

Does this mean if I go to a dispensary or club with paperwork and proof of mailing before 20 days they wont honor it? Or will the paperwork suffice immediately?

The way it was explained to me was that 20 days after mailing I should get my card (theoretically - in practice they are backlogged months). Once I have my card im legal to do everything. Before I have my card, but after 20 days have passed, I can use my paperwork in lieu of the card. But before 20 days have passed...I'm not sure. It seems weird to get a dr recommendation for something then not being able to have access or start for a minimum of 20 days. Maybe its to allow enough time for it to be accepted or rejected?

I'm ancy to get some medical grade stuff. I'm currently using $90/oz schwag. headache city.

You may find some dispensaries that will take the paperwork before the 20 days but i doubt it. And with all the raids happening I have a feeling soon and maybe even already that all the dispensaries will start requiring the actual plastic card before they do business with you.

ann arbor should take you right when you get the rec but maybe not since the recent attacks on disp from the pigs.

I just got my card about two weeks ago, I went to the Dr's back at the end of April. Your paperwork is good soon as the State of Michigan cashes your funds ie; money order/check.

A copy of the cashed check will suffice along with all your paperwork, or theres a ph# on the money order you can call for verification that the money order has been deposited/cashed. Then again this would be up to the end dispensary, where do you live, do you need a caregiver? I have 1 opening left I'm trying to fill....I'm offering a free oz every 3 months as a registered patient of mine to help off set the costs associated with registering with the state. Its $50 1/8 after that. All grown with Foxfarm and C02 injection, fresh harvest every 5 weeks if your in the Detroit, downriver area

If you are a brand new patient, then you are supposed to wait until the 20 days is up AND you have NOT received a letter from the state saying your application was denied. If you are resending an application after the 20 days due to a new caregiver, then you don't have to wait the 20 days.

As a few people were saying, in the end it depends on if the dispensary will honor it or not.

go to the ann arbor health collective they have a big variety of Grade A buds with decent prices and they take paper work

i am being my own care giver and already have my grow under way. even though im being my own care giver i would like to meet up with someone to do a patient to patient transfer to hold me over until my own crop will be ready.

Does it count from the day I mailed it? or the day they receive it?

I paid by check, so as soon as its cashed I should be able to log on to my bank account and print a copy of it. So as soon as thats cashed im 100% legal with my paperwork?

Some say 20 days, but that's what the 20 days is meant for......the check clearing.
You are legal once you have proof the State of Michigan
"Approved" your application which you know because they do this by cashing the funds

some of my buddys have a green paper card and I dont.

we sent them in with in the same week over 2 months ago.
Tell your buddies that forging state issued identification can land you in deeper trouble than plants.

As of mid October, they are issuing cards from mid-July.

60,000 applications x $100ea = $6 million

=

Hire some damn workers to to process the applications

There haven't been 60k complete applications. Please stop quoting numbers and spreading misinformation. Not everyone paid 100 per app nor are you even counting the change of CG forms which they cant even calculate yet since there are so many. Please do your research next time.
