bat guano, can you use too much.

I would assume you can, I mean it would be bad if I used like half a pound of bat guano in one feeding of tea. But im wondering how much is too much? Right now I only have one girl to feed, so I dont like making large quantities of tea that just get wasted. I use a 2litre pop bottle to make my tea, and fill about 3/4 from the top with rainwater. I started off with 1/2 tsp high P bat guano. And now am at 1 tsp high P bat guano. And am feeding once a week. Would it be too much to add more bat guano? Say one and a half tsp??? Thanks

You could gradually increase the dosage until you notice some nute burn. You're doing the right thing if you're trying to maximize your feedings.
But the real question is what stage of growth are you in? If you're in flowering then I would understand why you want to boost your phosphorus. If you're in veg then you don't really need to raise the phosphorus too much. Go for some high nitrogen guano(I believe is peruvian seabird that has nitrogen).

Im in first week of flowering. Started using high P bat guano very late in veg, and have upped the dosage very little now that im in first week flowering. I think ill increase to one and a half tsp high P bat guano next time I feed.

Why don't you just use it as a top dressing and let your regular watering do the work for you instead of mixing it in a bottle?

I put on a top dressing with about 2 tsp of it with a gallon of soil then mixed into the top 1 inch of soil around my girl. I dont think this will be enough though, which is why im still adding it in the teas.

Does the grow medium itself have components that decompose in a manner that allows microbes to furnish adequate NPK, micronutrients and trace minerals? In spite of wild advertising claims of 'bigger, better more potent buds' plant genetics take what they require, not what they're given.

What exactly would those components in the grow medium you are talking about?? Sorry I dont understand, thanks.
Take a look at organic grow mediums. The components provide all requirements the plants need through their life cycles, eliminating supplementary nutrients. The only thing I add to my plants from seedling through harvest is required watering and a few AACT teas to supplement the microherds that deliver plant requirements.

Ok thanks, I know it would have been a good idea to add all the stuff in my grow medium, but I was new and when I planted my girl I only planted her in soil from my garden amended with perlite, vermiculite, and mushroom compost. I will know better for next grow though.

If you're not dumping chemical nutrients into it that grow medium and a few AACT teas could provide you with enough nutrients and micronutrients to sustain your plant through its life cycle. I suggest watching your plant's leaves. They'll quickly tell you if its experiencing any deficiencies, there are many websites with excellent images showing virtually all deficiencies and their causes, and you can supplement if needed.

I've found the most common mistakes new growers make is over watering and attempting to change genetics with supplements. Buds, size and potency, are dependent on genetics and no amount of supplements beyond what they actually require is going to change them.

Thankyou madodah. My leaves were a bit yellow at the beginning. Until I started using the AACT. She is now a nice healthy green! The only yellowing I seen now are a very slighty yellow on the very very very bottom leaves that get no light.

top dressing ur baby with 2 tbs of guano should do work, just take alittle longer, i top dressed all my plants and they definatly loved it,
with the top dressing and your tea's ur plant should be getting enough P
are u foliar feeding or just dumping the tea into ur medium

I top dressed with 2 tsp bat guano about 3 days ago, I didnt want to over do it, and I just dumping tea into medium, should I foliar?

if ur plants getting later into they're budding and the budds are getting mature then i wouldnt foliar feed but if they are still early into budding you might want to do one or two foliar feedings to get it to the buds quicktime

Stick with a tea. Why? If you start to see the plant getting to Dark and turning inward you have too much nitrogen. Teas are fast acting and DO NOT stay in the soil. Teas are safer as you can leach them out quickly.
