Curing with a vacuum sealer

Hey guys im getting close to harvest time on my first grow and am thinking of ways to cure.....i have one of those vacuum sealers from costco and it comes with some jars for storing things in.....was wondering if it would be a good idea to cure my buds using one of those vacuum sealer jars.....thanks for the input.......

If you are talking about storing it after drying go for it.

Don't put damp weed in those it will rot.

dont know how long to keep it in there....never done it......was thinking that a jar void of oxigen might cure faster and better.....also keep longer......just thoughts....

i've used vacum bags for storing after it has dried and cured. after a year it taste and smelled the same as the day i packaged it.

just make sure you can replace the air inside 2-3 times a day. otherwise you will get mold and it will ruin everything.

Using vaccum bags for long term storage is excellent after buds are dried and cured already. You can cure in them, but opening and resealing every day for burping will be a hassle. That and you don't want buds with that much moisture packed in together that tight because you'll be likely to get mold. So, in my opinion, stick with jars or something that doesn't get vaccumed sealed for curing, than move to the sealed bags when everythings dry.

I have heard that oxygen degrades thc, so removing oxygen seems like a good idea.

OH my bad. I didn't pay well enough attention, sorry. In that case those jars are perfect. I've used them a handful of times, but it got old sucking the air out of each individual jar everyday after burping. Especially with a fairly sizable harvest. But if you don't mind go for it, by all means, it's a great way to store buds.
