THC production

What does the timetable look like on trichome THC content throughout the grow? Is it gradual and steady thru flowering, or is it slow until closer to the end when there's a THC production spurt, or something else?

Starks Marijuana Chemistry goes through a decent explanation - under section entitled Age Variations - his work states that seedlings a day old to almost three weeks are relatively consistent in their concentration......and that the cannabinoid pattern of the mature plant is already well established in the seedling......concnetration do generally increase over time (though exceptions are prelvaent) (the magnitude and nature of the increase is highly variable and dependent upon genetic and growing conditions) and a maturity is reached and then they can become overmature and lose potency.

Will u tell us the genetics or is it secret. Maybe u dont want the hijack to get hijacked lol if all goes well will have my own strain i developed in 3 weeks. Once i taste it i can c name it.

search "hijack". :blsmoke:

i've seen trichrome production on seedlings. back in the day we used to smoke our runts and would get buzzed. i think the potency is always there is the concentration that changes.

these babys have some, the best seedlings ive seen were nats, his look good and have had the most ive ever seen on such a small plant, the best ive ever grown with the most, were big bang, but put that compared to a s#1 that has hardly any in comparison.
like thoe said all plants and strains are all diff, and depending on grow conditions ect, i dont think they would be a thc table.
but maybe the same strain has one?.expected to grow in a certain way?.
here are some,of mine were you can see it, in the babys.

Crazy-mental, trichomes are glands. Their THC content changes over the course of the grow. Showing me pics of little plants with some trichs on them is totally irrelevant. :)

My question was, and I realize this would vary by strain, if you were to graph a timeline of THC quantities within 12/12, would it be a reasonably straight line from start to finish, or is most of the THC produced at the end of the grow, or what?

Like, for example, is it fair to say that for a plant that flowers for 8 weeks, 50% of the final THC is present in the plant at 4 weeks?

Or is it more like 50% doesn't come until week 6, and the final 50% is produced in the last 2 weeks of flower.
