How to Grow the BIGGEST buds EVER!!!

Basicly there is no way for someone that either is just starting out or doesn't have a green thumb to go from having ok or less than ok yeilds to monster buds, there's not just a nute that you can put on your plants and thats why someone has bigger yeilds than you..it all stems from your level of experince, a master grower can produce much more with maricle grow than a noob thats never grown tomatoes with advanced nutes full line up...with that being said it also has ALOT to do with the genetic make up of your plant. Things like og kush dont produce huge buds like say island sweet skunk.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaNG1pN9We4 <--- experience...

That's why I put this in the advanced forum and said " additional tips and tricks" most of us all know it's a conglomerate of numerous variables that occur differently in everyones garden

Dammnnn sweet video!!! Yea I thought my og kush nugs were huge....wow!!

Light!!!! light!!!! light!!!! side lighting top lighting lights lights lights !! Hydro hydro hydro low temps and GH nutes no need for Kabloom koolbloom or any other junk... Maximize oxygen to the roots... Anyone here from overgrow? remember Krusty buckets? and his 1 lbs buds ?

So those krusty buckets are pretty much bubbleponics with a top feed drip system right?
Bubbleponics? is that what they call it now? lol Ive not been on any forums since Overgrow was shut down.. but it is a good name for it! Yes they were top feed with high volume air pumps for the bottom.. basically made a foamy froth in the bottom. Roots loved it... I remember krusty holding up buds as big as my freaking leg with 2, 5 gallon root balls ...

However Krusty used some serious lighting... From what I remember two 1000w hps per plant side lighting

Yeah I actually just bought a massive airstone that covers the entire bottom of a 5 gal bucket, it's making crazy massive roots compared to any other system I have ever tried!

i have had the same question and this is what im' doing.

i can't take credit for the creation of this i found it online and it made sense my buds are the densest as i've ever had

Dense buds.

Factors that influence bud density:

1. Genetics; some plants just don't produce dense buds.

2. Harvest timing; when a plant is fully ripened, the calyxes are swelled up (parthenocarpy), so the buds are denser. Buds harvested prematurely haven't done this, and the dried buds will be more airy.

3. Light intensity;"If you want the density, then provide the intensity." Buds grown in relatively low light conditions will be looser than buds grown in high light intensity.

4. High temperatures/high temperature differentials; Excessive heat or a big swing between day and night temperatures can promote stretching and loose buds. Keeping the high temperature below 80F and the difference between high and low between 10 and 15 degrees will help promote tighter buds.

5. Nutrient ratios; nice tight buds require a high ratio of K to N. Too little K and too much N can lead to looser buds.

6. Dark cycle must be dark; the dark cycle needs to be completely dark if possible, sit in your room when the lights are off for 15 minutes to see if it really is dark, light leaks can promote stretching of the buds.

i am very intrested in the "humboldt countys own" additives. including the Purple MAXX which is supposed to be like the snow storm, but also increases the chance that it might turn purple.
which if it dosnt impress me, i'll switch to the snowstorm. or maybe both, and use the snowstorm for foliar feed.

was also interested in the "cutting edge solutions" nutes. but haven't tried them yet.

thanks for the thread man, ill be lurking to see what ppl post up.
I am about to start my next grow the strains are White Widow and Blackberry, the snow storm is supposed to help with the trichs right which would be perfect for WW, and the purp max sounds good for my BB, but what do you use for veg?

i used the purple max last year on my outdoors it made my pk super dark, almost black didnt really turn anything else. i used gravity with it i love the gravity but it always gives my leaves bad fert burn, even the newest growth. anyone else had this isue?

the hydro store down the road told me that snowstorm and purple max are the same thing but the purple max is just a newer version.....dunno if its true but ive used gravity and the purple max

Gravity burnt my leafs as well. Going to 1/4th strength from now on was doing half. The cutting edge line is doing wonders. I also add fox farms water salable line at 1/4 strength as well as it also burns my leafs :)

Purple Max and Snow Storm Ultra are pretty much the exact same thing, the difference is the Purple max helps pack on frosting and help enhance any colors in the flowers, SSU just helps pack on the frosting, i just used it on my last gorw very nice frosting the pic i attached is from last crop it was Kushberry x Skunk you can see the loads of frosting. To use the SSU i use it as a foilar spray it has the recomended dose on the back of the bottle but it works really good that way and lasts for ever because you only have to mist them 1 - 2 times a week so very economical, i think i did toss a dose in my res about 6 weeks in.

alright ladies and gentelmen here is a trick that i read in a book by mel thomas "Cannabis plants produce more THC in responce to receiving higher levels of UV light. THC is thought to protect the plant from harmful effects of sunlight. It is possible to reproduce this effect in the grow room enviorment by exposing the plants to 30 miniutes of UV light during the day cycle. This exposure is usually divided into three 10 miniute sessions. The UV light is delivered to the plants using sun bed tanning equipment. An area of two square yards will require 8 x 6 foot long tubes. Facial tanners can be utilized for smaller setups. Four x 1foot long tubes are used in conjunction with 400w lamps"

hope you guys enjoy ths one i had never seen it befor and and going to be using it in my new grow.

Well I just finished up a side by side with super lemon haze using bushmaster....I used it as directed as a foliage spray during the first couple weeks of flowering and there are Def more flowering sites and after four weeks the bush mastered plant is about 4 inches shorter....

So what systems has everyone had the best luck with.... My biggest buds came from a flood and drain table, and vie pretty much tried every system out there!

Nothing you add to the plant is gonna make it purple, Want purple buds? Lower nighttime temps
