powdery mildew maybe.... i had it ... it wasnt the biggest prolem...
some say it can be caused by humidity going to high at night and too low win the day.....but i would be watching closely for bugs..... look under the leaves for eggs....and buy some bugg off spray fox farm...its a good investment for any real grower...

well my plant thrived threw veg.... it grew to be a healthy monster.... i always disreagarded the spots..... and my plant got bigger...and bigger..... but its too early too worry about small spots.... when they get bigger.... than the problems really start.....
see at this point you can see it all so clear ....
when they get fat flowers...you wont be able too go threw all the nugs and cola leaves..... theyll be alright......just get the pestacides if possible for future problems..... my plant had all kind of spots and they made it....
but in the 6th week of flower....my plants were so infested that one stopped budding.....and the other struggled...
your plants are okay right now..... i think.....
heres my pics of my first grow.....

It's most likely spider mites. I was thinking it was just some of the drywall dust that I had missed, but apparently after examining them closely with the naked eye, I saw them, on the underside of the leaves. They're as small as a pinhead, but if you keep lookin' at em, they'll move, and you'll know right then and there. I just had the exact same problem. Just sprayed girls with Neem, 2 Tablespoons per Gal. Hopefully that does tha trick.

neem oil is used for gnats, not sure if it will work for spider mites! im a newbie at growing and never had any problems with bugs as far as pot plants but anyone that is having problems with gnats, they look like a fruit fly ( annoying little F'ks) they lay eggs only in moist soil...so as long as the soil stays moist they will keep reproducing...i would suggest leaving the soil dry completely inbetween watering. do not use insect spray , especially SCHULTZ brand it DOES NOT WORK!! tried it once for one of my house plants! i have never tried neem oil so im not sure how effective that is...but if you notice your soil is badly infested, you will see the babies, very tiny and white i would suggest changing the soil and remember not to over water to the point the soil stays moist...this can also cause root rot!

IF the problem is spidermites here are a few options.

Chemicals

Hot Pepper Wax,Safer Yard & Garden Insecticide (which can be used right to the day of harvest), GNATROL ( used in hydro in the water as well as soil), Doc's Neem Pest Soap, Safer Sticky Stakes, TR-11000 Pyrethrum. Anything that says dicofol on the back. ( should be used in vegging or early flowering)

Tobacco Juice recipe

Take 3 strong cigarettes soak them over night in water. Boil it for 2 to 3 minutes, let it cool off and spray the plants 3 to 4 times a week. You can add safer soap if you like to the mixture. (make absolutely sure you use gloves/face protection while handling and spraying)

Neem oil works very well too.

You might have thrips. They can be mistaken for being spidermites. If the spots you saw are small greenish black specks that could be thrip poop. They do leave that stuff around so it can be a sign of thrips.

"Thrips are really tiny, but can be seen by the naked eye. Some may have wings and some may not. Thrips reproduce rapidly, especially in tight places. That is what makes them hard to get rid of when using pesticides. The suck the sap right out of your plant with there piercing mouths, which makes the leaves look like they turned white. You can tell when you have thrips by taking a look at your leaves, the leaves will look as if there chlorophyll have been ripped right off the plant.

Plants that are damaged can’t be healed thus making it harder for the plant to absorb light. SO if left untreated the thrips will kill the plants. Damage also can be seen by the greenish black specks of there poop they leave on leaves. Also the plants will show silver patches from scar tissue. Depending on the severity at first, thrip damage might look like spider mite damage until it increases in damage and then thrips case is for sure when you see the greenness replace with big parts of white."

Hi ya Brick Top :)

Got a few questions about this method , First off i want to say thanks for comming up with alternatives to having to go and buy stuff .... I know that the Hydro stores stock a plethara of diffent things that are fairly cheap but it all add's up ...so a nice little cheap alternative is really cool IF it works :)

OK SO ..Questions :)

How much water would you recomend roughly ?

Do you strain the juice off befor boiling ?

Im asuming the boiling is to remove any chemicals added by the tobbacco companys ?

Would you recomend PHing the water befor or after or not at all ?

And i guess the most importent question is ... Does it work ? ..have you had succsess with it ? and would you recomend it as a prevention system or just as a cure ?

Hope all my questions make sence ..and again thanks :)

V :peace:
