35 days in and plant (ak47 x lowryder) is super small.. help

hi,
i am currently growing a fem ak47 lowryder autoflower. it's been about 35 days since planting and it is still only about 4-6 inches tall. the leaves also are growing very slowly. white hairs and white crystal looking things are on the leaves and it looks like it is going to start flowering very soon. i am growing it under a 105W of CFLs. I have a 10 inch fan blowing on it at all times. lights are set to 20/4. have only added nutes once since planted. it is growing in organic choice potting mix. if anyone can read this and also take a look at the pictures and help me figure out why it is so small that would be great. i have seen other grow journals of the same strain and they are much bigger and farther along than mine is at this stage. any help would be great.

i picked up another 45W CFL just now. So there's about 150W total. That should be enough for one plant shouldn't it? It's also not in a very large space. Anything else I might be missing?

i'm not sure. i'm actually just renting an apartment at a complex so i have no idea.. i usually let the water sit for atleast 24 hours before i use it to water

I hate to say this but, it probably is in your best interests to kill that plant and restart over again. Seems like she is shocked and experienced stunted growth. She should be way bigger than that at 35 days from seed.

yes I would definately start another one, but I wouldn't kill that one...wouldn't break my neck trying to fix her either, let her finish her thing, she's already over half way done, since you went through this trouble you might as well let it finish making the cute mini bud its going to make, and dry a leaf, if its your first grow, keep a souvenir, my opinion ;) consider her a sacrifice so you could gain experience....and she's not done providing experience until she's done... which will be in about 3 weeks...

also, how close did you have the light, cfl's need to be kept around three inches from the top to give it useful light

is there a way to test my water to see if it's salt that was the problem? my apartment is actually right beside the ocean. could this have had any affect from salt? the water was from the sink. also, I might have had the light a little to far away maybe 10 to 12 inches. but I didn't think it would stunt it that much. anyway to find out for sure what stunted it before my next grow? also, will I get a small amount of weed if I do keep her? I just put the light a lot closer and added another. I'm not a heavy smoker so I don't care much about quantity

yea, like I said, they have to be about 3 inches, you had them way to far, and your plant wasn't getting the light it needed for photo....., now you know :)

exactly, the lumins deminish very quickly with cfls. you had them wayyyy too far away. you want them to be as close as possible, without burning your plants. i think i keep my 400watt MH closer than what you had your cfls at

keep in mind with cfl's and fluro in general, you dont have to worry so much about the bulb burning your plant, I mean, you want it to have a reason to grow, hence the 3 inches, but if it grows up and touches it before you go in to adjust it nothings going to be hurt....

yeah dude you have ENOUGH light it just isn't close enough to be effective...I have two plants growing under 9 14w 2700k CFLs (so like 125w) and the older one is gettin pretty huge after 28 days while the other one is young still but really healthy...

And I have a water softener that uses salt with a RO filter. I use the Reverse Osmosis tap to water my girls and everything is fine, the only problem is that the older female is growin TOO fast cuz I'll find it touching a bulb/bulbs and that causes some heat stress..

That plant is a sad sight though lol, bout 0.2 yield...it'll be a nice bowl pack

well if he puts the light close enogh now and lets it finish, it willhopefully produce a gram...still bad for the work involved, but hey...at least you have something to smoke for your troubles to smoke while you contemplate round 2... :)

I had the same issue with my Speedy Gonzales Autoflowers. They seem to be a bit more finicky than other traditional strains. Didn't respond to CFL at all while my other plants were growing well. I got my grip on HPS - problem solved.

autoflowers are so dope, my friend just harvested an unknown auto a few weeks ago, was about 14'' tall and had one solid ass nug all the way through. Some fruity shit tho
