Scared About Planting In Soil

Well, I'm starting them out in plastic cups (see my avatar) but when they get big, I need to transplant them and I don't have another pot or anymore potting soil.

Well, I'd kind of like to plant it in the ground anyway, but I'm not sure if the native soil back in the woods where I plan on planting them is good for my baby.

How can I make sure that the soil will support my seedlings, and how can I prepare it (soil) before I make the transfer?

You could go and dig a decent sized hole in the woods , Then fill the hole with your own potting soil ?

Out of the question.
I'm using the soil in the woods, but I want to know the info I asked for in the previous post.

That soil is full of deadly bugs to your MJ. don't do it. Either get more potting soil or keep it in the cup and do a "minigrow" and flower it AT THIS MOMENT so it gets not taller than 8 inches. might get 5 grams.

if ur absolutely set on putting it in the woods (parasiotes, ants, deer, raccoons, cats, dogs, all shit thats gonna kill ur plant) do what sickshot said.

If you are going to use just dirt from the woods i would water it with some veg nutrient solution once a week. but if you just need a bigger pot for the seedling, try looking around for a bucket of some kind or cut the top off of a milk gallon (washed throughly of course), it will take a few weeks for a seedling to out grow it. That should buy you time to gather a bigger pot for the final transplant. I would look for a 5 gallon bucket somewhere, or just go buy one for like $5 when your ready to transplant.

Well fuck, I guess I'll do a mini grow then.
The only problem is that it's small.
Here it is;

How long would it take to flower if I put it on a 12/12 starting in about 1 week?

I mean, it's really healthy right now, I don't want anything bad to happen to it.

I'm not worried about yield, so I guess I could 12/12 it in about a week or so right?

It will take about 6-8weeks is my guess. Even though its small its still gonna take time. You can grow a plant to 12 inche sin that, definetly. Top it TWICE AND tie it to maximize ur yield and u could end up with an once off that little plant.

Well it's a bag seed, strain and sex is unknown.
Any idea when sex will start to show?

And I'll definitely be doing LST on it, I think in a week though I'm definitely putting it on a 12/12 schedule.

This isn't your first grow, right? So you know what a female looks like? If so then it should be easy. When they get there first fan leaves you can tell. Males stems are usually thicker, and a bunch of opther stuff. if you know what a female looks like,a male doesnt look like it.

This is my first grow, but I have done extensive research so I know what a male and female look like.

Plants grow outside in soil naturally, it's what they do  There are extra problems outside (deer, pigs (both kinds lol), other mammals) but once the plants get big enough they have lots of pluses. Where you are is important to the soil and what you need to do to make it primo for you weed. First you need to know if it's alkaline, neutral, or acidic and work from there. If you are in middle america...say east of dallas, your soil is probably OK. If you are where it's Alkaline you need to address that.

steph187, you spread more bad info than anyone i've seen here. you CAN'T tell sex by that method, growing outside has been done since we grew weed and i don't know what else to say. almost every post is steering someone down the wrong path
