Pistil browning WAY early..

I'm about 4 weeks in with various strains, and on quite a few of them I've noticed the pistils turning brown and dying. While the others have straight white.. I know the ones with all white are very hardy. Gotta love the Diesels :) My ph is fine, light isn't too close, not over or under watered. Was thinking maybe the humidity is too high?? Has anybody else had this problem?? Also, my buds look rather small. I could post pics if I could figure out how.. I'm a noob at this forum thing.. Thanks much!

I did, and they look fine. Clear in color, and more coming everyday. No worries even if 60% of the hairs are brown?? I've added a dehumidifier set to 35%.

hmm.. I agree that you're probobly fine, but it could be a symptom of stress. Does your soil have good drainage? what are your temps? how close are your lights and what watt?

i always have this problem too. im at about40 days and this is starting to happen. but ive heard this is normal at 40 days--?

Not so sure about the drainage, but I imagine so yes. It's not packed too tight and there are several holes in the bottom of the pots. I'm running temps 70-75, and I'm using an 8 tube 54w t5 about 6 inches away. Feels good on the back of the hand, and it's never burned them before. Nor are the hairs closest to the light.. I have them in a 5'x5' tent with a 6" fan venting it out.. but only back into the house, not outside. Trying to post pics but having a problem it seems.

I found that when I squeeze some of my buds with my fingers to check how fat their are .....where I squeezed the pistils often turn brown ...that may be it ..just throwing the thought out there

No ozone, no. The middle pic above is the one closest to the light, and as you see.. the hairs are fine.. The others are what I worry about

check the holes in your pots and make sure they aren't clogged/blocked. soil can the holes to the point where water can collect at the bottom of your pots and cause root rot. I usually put some pebbles or hydroton at the bottom about an inch so the water drains and nothing blocks the holes.

Is this normal for 25 days in???

i've seen it happen as early as that too. like the other guy said, do you touch yoru buds? i never touch my buds unless i really have to. also do you have males in there? some pistils will die if they get pollinated, lets hope thats not whats happening here
:leaf:

There's a good possibility that i'v touched them, but not every single one that's like that.. No males, all clones. Maybe the strain?? Anybody had experiance with strawberry cough? That's the one with the most brown hairs...
