Blue Mystic Grow Journal

Thanks man that helps us out, we are trying to figure out at what height we want to flip the plants because we dont want them much taller then 4 to 4.5 feet. Another quick question since this is our first grow with BM, what was your avg yeild per plant?
I ran them in so many setups that each plant went completely different.
I can tell you that I got the most out of it running on coco\perlite using HESI coco and running with low temps (around 22°C)
If your looking for a 4' plant at harvest your should flower it at 2' and if it gets a bit taller you can always tie her down.

You can also limit her growth by using small pots, but it DOES damage the yield.
for a 4' plant you should use a 5L pot.
It should let it grow much higher.
I'd grow it in a 7L however not to get to the root binding stage.

Also, you should top her. A few times.
The side branchs grow nicely if you let them.

The 150w puts out only 1600 lumens but I figured since one of my friends is comin bak from college bout the same time ill b gettin the seeds . He's giving me another 150w setup. I grow in my closet roughly 7' high x 3' wide x 4' deep. I got a oscilating fan in the closet to keep the temp down alil bc my apartments cold to begin with. As for the blue mystic as long as I get 1 female outta the 20 I'm fine bc I can jus clone a bunch .
:mrgreen:lol i got a cupboard 3ft tall 2ft wide 32 inches deep with 2 x 70 watt hps and a 250 hps and i still wish i had more light to go in there:mrgreen:

you should get plenty more then just one female as long as the conditions aren't complete shit. I recomend more lighting for your hps bulb or depending on how many plants that are going to turn out female, cut your growspace in half in order to maximize your light per square foot.

ya, we were definetly thinking about topping at least two of them once to see if the yield is actually increased with topping it, but the plants are a little small to do it at this point. what height do you suggest topping the plant from your expierience?

When the 5th node comes chop down to the 4th.
Then when the 3rd node after the topping comes chop back to the 2nd.
straight after that flower it.

There so small right now it seems like it would be really hard to clip the spot we need to, they're growing their 4th nodes right now and they're only 2 inches tall, should we wait until they grow and their leaves spread out more, or can you give us some tips on topping them at such a small size?

Thanks

They shouldn't be that small while they reach the 4th node mark.Mine are usually around 5".The nodes should be around 1\2" apart.Post some pictures of your plants.

Alright, we are going to get some new pics up in a couple of days so you will be able to see then. thx for the help:lol:

hey guys, just topped two of the babies, meg and peter. We are pretty sure that we did an ok job, but are nervous because we are not for sure. We clipped them on the stem just below the newest growth...sound good? Also, one of the ones i ended up topping was at a pretty extreme angle and definetley got the middle and side clipping, but if I missed the one on the right side of that same plant is that plant in trouble?
Thanks for all the help

subb'd, curious about this strain as well, some cheap beans of 'em on Nirvana
This is our first grow with this particular strain, after about 4 weeks it has been mostly outward growth and is about 3" in height at this point. Heard a lot of good things about it so we dedided to give it a shot, if you stay with us till the end we will give a smoke and grow report.

Hey GW, love this strain, most all the ones ive grown and this is my third grow with them, they are pretty true to form. I have pics in my two journals to show it, they start off very short and wide then when you flip the switch they take off really well, they are great plants great smell not all skunky to run you out of the house i grow mine with no carbon filter! but any way im subscribed to your grow and if you want check my latest grow out i have lots of pic's at all stages and times so you can see how they progress...Peace

Now is this a skunk dominant or blueberry dominant plant. Bc I've been readin up on it and people seem to have mixed results with the blueberry scent and color. I wnt have a grow journal due to lack of digital camera but I'm sure ill b askin y'all for info and input wen I'm growin this strain.

You can't go too wrong with that.
worst case scenario is that you lose another node. not a biggie.

Its a weak odor skunk and a blueberry.
Its about 50\50.
Mine rarely turned to any hue of purple and never tasted too close to blueberry. It smells a bit fruity but nothing really blueberrish. It doesn't smell strong at all anyhow.

Took my plants around 12 hours last time I did it. Check out my journal, i topped my plants a few days ago and the second node is popping out of the first currently.

The Blue Mystic usually recovers well from trauma, but like any other strains it will recover much quicker if enviroment is kept at optimal conditions.
