only thing is they might still have a brine smell to them so make sure they are really clean and don't smell when you remove the lid...do this before you fill them.

Tom thanks for setting these kids straight. You cant get rid of the smell if you tried. Ive tested and denied.

pickles....no, olives...yes :) The glass will come clean just fine but the lids will always have the pickle smell. I had no need for a dozen jars, just one, so I went to a craft store and they have all kinds of sizes and lid options.

That's what I do, save all my jars. Just be sure to wash them out really well . . . one time I had some bud end up smelling like garlic lime salsa . . . :eyesmoke: Now I ozonate my jars as well as wash them several times. Weed just smells like weed now . . .

I got rid of the brine smell out of the pickle jars after washing them a few times and then letting them air for a week and I have some jelly jars. I was going to buy some new jars but the jelly jars i have smell good and the pickle jar is fine.

If you choose to buy new canning jars, remember to wash them out first. Whatever they are sterilized with can sometimes contaminate your bud with strange odours. It's happened to me :-?
