I have the ebb n grow 12 pot system and am using the constant ppm meter by nutradrip. I am also using tap water and when I put the prob in the tank it reads 1300-1465. Then under that it says calibration and there's this screw next to that then bellow that there's range 0-9990ppm below that there's multiply display by 10. ? Can anyone help me with this just this first time?

Then how would I lower the reading? Do I have to get a reversosmosis. Or should my city water out of my tap work ?

Ok I did it. Now it reads what it says it should read. Except for this where it says X by 10. If that's so it's 10x too high? Mabey that's right or mabey it's not ? It sucks I can't find anyone that uses the nutradip dts meter and can realy help me with this one.

That would mean that it's 6000 ppm if so how do I get 600?
When you calibrate it, for example, if you have calibration solution of 1500 then your meter should read 150.

so afer its calibrated and you want a ppm of 600, the meter would display 60.

To lower the ppm of your nutrient solution add ph adjusted water, or use less nutrients from the start. The nutrients you are using should have a chart on the bottle that will give you an approximate amount to use to get a specific ppm. you can adjust it accordingly by checking with your meter.

Hope this helps....

What if even after I calibrate the meter to 1500 (150) then put it in just plain tap water and it says 1400 (14000) if I x by 10 like it says but then for some reason as soon as I add the nutes at 1/4 strenght it drops down to saying 600 (6000) if I x by 10?I thought adding nutes was going to raise the number? So that's why I question the x10 shit and what that means. I'll try and add ph water to see if it goes down but how come it whent down adding nutes?

A few questions:
1. Did you buy the meter new?
2. If not how old and how much use has it had?
3. Have you ever used it and had successfull results?
