That's called a hermaphrodite. Females stressed out can develop male pollen sacks to fertilize themselves out of survival. In a nutshell anyway.. :bigjoint:

ya but how do you get feminized seeds then? hermaphrodite?
I was under the notion that every female plaint can produce 1 seed.
But I could be wrong. So I would like to know.

Marijuana plants are either male or female – the male produces flowers that fertilize the female plant, which develops buds and seeds. A standard pack of cheap marijuana seeds will produce a mixture of male and female plants in a roughly 50/50 ratio.

Feminized marijuana seeds are produced by cloning and “shocking” female plants by spraying them with a silver solution. This prevents them from developing as males. The seeds from plants that have been treated in this way will only produce female plants – hence they are called feminized marijuana seeds.

lmao hell yeah!!
I still dont beleave the one about pulling out your hair will not make your hair grow faster. I think the it does make it grow faster.
But I would love to see them grow some killer bud to find out if a female plaint could produce one seed.
That would be the only reason I would get tivo. lol

Breeders do quite a bit of work stablizing their feminized strains. It's not as simple as freaking out a female and, booyaka, you have a healthy pheno automatically. Yes, you may very well end up with some very healthy phenos, but acquiring seeds this way doesn't guarantee the stability you'd get from a breeder.

I have never grown out a hermy, but I hear that they often pass on the hermy trait to all of their seeds, meaning seeds from a hermy will often be more hermies. If you still really want one anyway, then just stress the hell out of a known female. Give it irregular light cycles, trim and prune during flowering, etc. This will cause it to change to a hermy. Just make sure it already shows to be female before you stress it or it will be a male.
