Transition from veg to flowering

Hey, i've done a few indoor cycles now, and I usually veg at 20/4 then transition down to 18/6 and then i usually go down by 30 minutes everyday until I get to 12/12 when i want to flower. I was just wondering if this is kind of a waste of time, do you guys just veg it at one setting and then switch straight to 12/12 when you want it to flower? Do you think this can stress the plant and lead to more hermies or males? Does it matter at all? Let me know whatch ya'll think.

my guess would be just going to 12/12 directly from 20/4. Even if somehow this typical transition shocks plants, they probably are only shocked a couple days.

with your 18/6 mehtod then 30 min a day, thats 12 days til you reach your ultimate 12/12 flowering cycle.

But since you're doing an uncommon lighting transition, you should at least go straight to 12/12 once just for your own peace of mind to see what difference you get with your situation.

There is a post about that in here somewhere, I've read several times that it absolutely doesn't matter and is a waise of time...
