I smoked some Thai weed (that's what they called it) back in 85. It was an orangish color and was the best shit I ever smoked, even to this day. I still remember it like it was yesterday. Damn that was some good shit.......

you get a little Thai guy .. you tie him to a stick and dip him in hash oil... let him dry and smoke the little fucker ....
A nice variation on that is to drizzle chocolate over him....chocolate thai stick....I never had luck though....always got agonizing screams and the smell of burnt flesh

FYI - Thai Stick is nothing but KILLER Thai bud tied to a small piece of bamboo or stem using a fiber of hemp to tie it. I know, I bought 2000 of them in Bangkok in the late 70's for 5 cents a piece! And it was truly killer two hit weed. The sticks were about 6" long and about as thick as your little finger.

Why would anyone want to recreate the stick part? Knowing what I do now, the practice almost seems damaging to perfectly good bud.

It that shit was dusted with PCP, it damn sure wasn't real Thai stick. Just because someone calls something by some recognisable name doesnt make it so. There really hasn't been very much weed come in from Southeast Asia since the Nam war ended. When is the last time anybody saw any Cambodian Red? The logistics of getting it to the states made it too costly to fuck with. The big money dope people switched their focus to heroin which was worth at least ten times more for the same size pacage. Anyway, most people were content to smoke Mexican shit that was easier to import.

Hey People

I read this on another board and jotted down the steps so i could do it later.

Apparently thai stick is a way of curing and transporting small fluffy buds which would other wise be broken apart during the process.

Take the buds while they are still pliable and sticky (strip them off the stem as well i think) wrap it around the strip of bamboo and roll it like you would playdo.
After you have rolled it the size and shape you want, tie it down either with string or strips from a long piece of stem, in a criss cross pattern up the entire lenght 2 or 3 times (i was a little confused by the guys explanation for tying it down - was pretty baked - so expirement to see what tying works).

If its your first time apparently you should dry it like normal, then attach to small bamboo, and then put in a mason jar or cure it the way you normall would. Once your a bit more experienced you dry the weed a bit more and use different sized bamboo to cure.

Search for thai stick photos in google and have a look at one. Hopefully an image and that explanation will help.

I'm yet to try this, since i only just cracked my first seeds, but if i ever get a thai strain or something with suitable buds (apparently should only be done with small fluffy buds) i will report back.

Hope that helped

I always heard that to make Thai Stick, the medical cannabis is rolled around a stem once dried, wrapped (in what i dont know), then submerged in dry ice for 30 min. anyone ever heard of this? sounds interesting but too dangerous for me

Thai stick is so potent because you cure the bud in oil...you soak the bud in the oil, then tie it to a sliver of bamboo, let it dry, then do it again, thats why its so beautiful...

i was told you use 50% bud and 50% leaf and compress it by tying it to a stick to dry is this true?
not, its not.

A Thai stick is a form of cannabis from Thailand that was popular during the late ’60s and early ’70s. It consisted of premium buds of seedless marijuana which were skewered on stems. Several rows of string found in the stalk of the marijuana plant were then used to tie the marijuana to the stem and therefore, keep it in place.[1] Thai-stick bud may also be tied around bamboo sticks with a piece of string known as a “rasta hair.”
"moddern" thai stick is often dipped in hash oil or honey oil to increase potency :eyesmoke:

What Is Thai Stick

Thai Stick was popular during the late 60s and early 70s. It was premium buds of seedless marijuana that were skewered on marijuana stems. Several rows of string found in the stalk of the marijuana plant were then used to tie the marijuana to the stem and keep it in place.

The real stuff was very potent compared with the marijuana that was available at the time. Two or three tokes of Thai Stick would produce the same effects as smoking a joint of regular weed. It was popular and available most places, at least occasionally, until the late 70's.

Reports of Thai Stick being dipped in opium are apocryphal.

I know of no studies that verify that Thai Stick has ever been dipped in opium, and I suspect that these rumors were a result of people not believing that marijuana could be that potent unless something else were added.

i had heard that it grew like that and that small amounts of opium resun is used to keep it in stick form. thats what i heard.

i KNOW that some thai sticks are dipped in opium, and there is hash balls that have opium in the center. i know because i have made them, we used to make them back in the day when opium was still hot.
to actualy get them you have to ask for it tho......there considerably more expensive than normal thai stick.....so dont worry aboutgetting laced

normal thai stick is just "cured" in hash oil.

i looked up how to make thai sticks a while ago, and although im pretty high right now, but i think theres something to do with slower drying by leaving the leaves on, or tying them down with the string
